Sometimes you have to ask whether you want it done "right" or "right now". Try to pin him down to a timescale - "I'd like to use it at a gig on...." Nice bass - good luck with the build.

I've found that Gear Satisfaction is a temporary condition. Give it a few weeks and you'll be back to craving something new.

I could never get on with the scratch plates on the 5ers. They look soooo much better without the plate IMO

As I mentioned above, the existing pots have 8mm shafts. Virtually impossible to find knobs for these in the UK, so what are they for? Am I the only person to have ever come across such things?
