  1. Here you go... The good bits
  2. Hint taken....I'll do them now.
  3. As somebody who just traded their fretless bass for a fretted of the same model I would say that you should consider this option (trading) or possibly "do a Jack" ( @Happy Jack) and get another neck. Firstly, you won't have to pay what feels like a lot of money for what seems like not a lot of work (luthiers please don't jump down my throat) and secondly you get to let somebody else experience playing fretless bass. If you choose to keep the bass, buying a second neck means that you get to enjoy a favourite bass in another way.
  4. At 4.4kg this should attract some attention.
  5. I have a L2500 - absolute monster of a bass - I know this is the same sort of beast. Two things will come from this sale. Somebody is going to get a great bass for very little You're going to be sorry. Even so, GLWTS
  6. Steve Mackey, bass guitarist of Britpop band Pulp, dead aged 56 https://f7td5.app.goo.gl/82zNfx Or: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-64827409.amp
  7. Another 👍 for the Zoom range. You also get a built in drum machine.
  8. As we get older we do spend less time running - changing to "Bassist walking" ?
  9. Is there a "relieved" emoji, Paul??
  10. Phone on charge so it'll have to be tomorrow for photos. The body is a figured black/ dark grey like the one in @lemmywinks post featuring some early roadworn-ness - remember this adds value to instruments. Neck is a non-sticky gloss finish which feels tiny since I've been playing 5ers. The standard MM Humbucker has a surprising broad spectrum of tones - far better than I expected TBH. Gunky cheap Chinese (I believe) strings produce, again, surprisingly good tones though these should be changed at the earliest opportunity. If I'd had this earlier in my career I wouldn't be unhappy with it. If I was given it I would be a more than chuffed. Easily worth what I paid for it - even with all the messing about from the numpty seller (who had it tuned in some weird tuning).
  11. So the saga comes to an end.... I started a dispute using eBay and suddenly she gets in contact with me apologising for not going on ebay. She sends me her address which my phone doesn't recognise but puts me close enough to find the flat. Bass looks OK - I'll take the dogs out and check it over when I'm done. JOOI anybody want it??
  12. Can you post photos of the top edge of the fretboard so that we can see how it's marked. Thanks
  13. Still nothing from the seller so I've started a dispute with eBay. Just going to get my money back.
