What do you gain? A better ear - with a fretted bass you take being in tune for granted as the frets do the work. With a fretless you have to listen more to what you are actually playing because it's easy to be out of tune.
Even if you never play a fretless in a band situation it's a nice technique to try to develop. Buy wisely and you may not lose any money on selling.
Though the shop closed just before Xmas they still have an online presence. I bought some pickups from them (at a very good price) recently.
Good service too - notified me the day the pickups were being sent out.
GLWTS
I saw this earlier. I'm not sure if this is a good BIN price though.

Is he available for this years SE Bash usually at Jubilee High School, Surrey, School Lane, Addlestone, Surrey KT15 1TE.
Date yet to be booked but I'm sure Colin ( @Hamster) will be booking the venue in the not too distant..
I totally agree.
Wal has defied the Bass Market by prices going through the ceiling while the prices of most other brands have either gone backwards or climbed slowly. I suspect some of the buyers are collectors, betting that prices will remain high. This may be true while demand is high and supply is low, but personally I couldn't gel with either of the two I had.
I'm expecting the demand for GB Basses to rocket at some point - again supply and demand - but Bernie builds fantastic basses which players love. Wish I'd kept my Rumour.
He's right you know...
I'm struggling with this...I have a pair of pickups from a GB Spitfire which would, I believe, an easy swap.
Not as if I'm not spoilt for choice at the moment...
Run away!!!
