I'm not convinced by the .135 in the 5 string sets so I've been ordering a D'Addario .50 to go with the Rotosound 65-115 since their individual tapewound strings are outrageously expensive (£18 compared to £8). I think that StringsDirect are the only UK stockists of the Rotos individual tapewounds. In real life, i.e. steels, I wouldn't dream of a .115 as the lowest gauge string in a set so the .50 is the best solution for me.

I've been watching some reviews on the Dimension bass on YT. IMO some people really shouldn't bother - many of the reviews show how not to play a bass and merely set out to highlight how much the videos are "about me" rather than the bass. In suppose they are entitled to their 15 mins of fame...

I've heard some negative comments about these basses - poor low B, lacking character....I think it sounds amazing here.

Good start!! Message from the couriers needing to reschedule collection for tomorrow! Thankfully P2Go, for 93p, let you book a delivery guarantee. Delivery on time or Refund, so cost of courier should be coming back. I'd rather have had it tomorrow.

I'd love to find a good G&L L2500 with a Rosewood board at a nice price. Unlikely at best.

I'm not generally a fan of maple boards but trying to find one for sale at the moment is a nightmare. I'm hoping this will fill the gap that the Sterling 2HH isn't doing while I wait for the Kawai to come back. I should have known better than to buy another Ray...I really don't get on with them. Just hope that I don't have to move them both in the future.
