I’ve nearly done some deals with Phil before, really nice guy

  2. I'm as big a TE fan as the next man but even I doubt this is worth his asking price... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115539275222?hash=item1ae6ad6dd6:g:4JUAAOSwf4xiUzCs&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoGd%2BaAK0Vu2f4I2G%2BhAkqDuQvV60N0tJPJ%2FGVTT0OZGRMRQVTi5Cfoypd95mDbbVh6lBMhJsepdf%2BiMBNrzdOVYvXJbcRd00DFj%2BsdJFl9nH17tKs9uiEyOWWUoGv3oslN5MjUU9MW3PbRIQj8PKkukf%2BK9TQMkfeAaK4P3%2FT%2FoxXCzRysdDtnDidI8gzRWg%2BRJ5Cj94vmoGvvqWkbp%2BsMQ%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR7zLv4S6YQ
  3. It says 14.8kg - that 30lb ish. Currently £145 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334702835731?hash=item4dedd7f813:g:-B0AAOSwZuVjwqP9&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoGsEyWDZtjFlQiS3yaBNXnvqT5zpBgGG3tjY0ZV37RgcbdFQ7nq8tpJ7YNemjLeGIdm%2Bj7M%2B2WJjgCRnRyjxDCrxZN8F4f6UKpa4Pu%2Bj65E7ofnck2C642vaFphD2Q7AV7JIFoEo9%2F6jZFenKqOXGy74ALn3n4MwrKEoj7P3pHoE5Z%2FLTuV9aKBzup%2BforyW1bArC4TBvckbVCC%2Bzt7BmfA%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR8zd-4O6YQ
  4. Don't listen to him..... 😆😆😆
  5. Has everybody read Mick Karn's autobiography "Japan and Self existence" where he outlines how Japan worked. Nobody could veto any decision, however the singer, David Sylvian, would manipulate band members by having hissy fits till everybody gave in and "saw his side". A dictatorship by any other name. Personally I can't do dictatorships, my thinking is that a "group" contains many who each have equally valuable input. The last band I played in the saxophonist (who would turn up with keyboards even though there was a keyboard player) would tell everybody what to play, including the drummer. He would tell me what riffs to play even though what I was playing was clearly better than his idea. I walked, as did the drummer shortly afterwards.
  6. The list has started already. To be fair, we are approaching the time when those who were abusers in the 60s/70s are coming to the end of their natural lives so we should expect a few more in the coming years. RIP sir.
  7. It should have been me - Yvonne Fair Man, that girl can sing!!
  8. Crying in the Chapel - Elvis (most notably)
  9. I can relate to this....except the last paragraph.
  10. Kawai back with Richard - pickup builder may have identified a problem with the wiring so back they go...
  11. Been there - I feel your pain. Seller's remorse is a known phenomenon, however so is Nagging Wife's Ear. Which would be worse? Personally I'd keep both. If you sell you'd probably waste the money on bills and sheet. Or worse, sell then crave what you sold, and spend years unsuccessfully trying to find the same bass to buy back. I write this from experience. Keep them both.
  12. I'm in love with a dreadlocks - Brown Sugar
  13. Check my thread about arthritis for some valuable advice on managing the condition. I've been having similar issues recently - I've come to the conclusion that I'm unlikely to recover from the condition so it's a matter of managing it for the foreseeable. Time and tide..
  14. Yep, add a good ACG to the list. Or one of the two AJRs currently for sale here.
  15. I'm sure that your back will thank you in the long run....
  16. I have a Lakland 55-02 - very nice basses certainly worth considering. If you decide on the Yamaha option I'd be looking for an older TRB rather than the TRBX. There are a couple available on ebay/ gumtree currently.
  17. I'm going to have a listen when I have a bit more time.
