    Just spent the last hour or so trying to order a 5 string tapewound set. I can't find anything - nobody seems to have a 5er set in stock. No tapewound strings available from Status website currently either - you could always rely on Dawn to save the day (email sent). I'm particularly looking for a Warwick set which sell for £30ish (4 string) - NOT including the £19 P&P from Thomann. I've even emailed Warwick - (cap in hand) to ask why they aren't available. In the end I had to order a 65-115 set and an individual .50 in a different brand. Does anybody know why this might be (other than the global conspiracy to annoy me and waste my time)?

    See, this is what I don't understand with Fender buyers... The pickup combination alone should mean that people should be climbing over each other to get to this. You have the traditional P pickup which has featured on virtually everything since the beginning of time and the humbucker which has featured on nearly everything else since 1977. Seemingly everything that a bass player would want and yet it hasn't sold - and it's been available since Bonfire Night. Passive and light too... Madness I tell you!     Ah, the joys of travelling on the M25 to do a deal!!! Met up with Jake to do a trade - essentially for a set of frets....Well, sort of. I traded my Yamaha TRB fretless for Jakes TRB fretted. Met up in Wokingham for that trade in a car park that we've all grown used to...what do onlookers think?? Perfectly effortless trade, went as smooth as...the usual chat in the car park afterwards before escaping back onto the living hell that is the M4/ M25. Lovely fella, a tribute to the people who frequent this forum. more than happy to trade again, you can feel safe doing business with him. Oo, BTW he's a drummer really - you are NOT allowed to kidnap him and keep him in your cellar.
