"White Light" a programme aimed at teenagers was filmed locally when I was in the 6th form - we used to bunk off school on Thursday afternoon when it was recorded and watch it on TV on Monday evening when it aired. On Tuesday there would be kids in the lower years who would ask for autographs. A couple of the dogs in the pack were on The Dog Rescuers with Alan Davies. They're happy to give their "pawtographs" - normally when they've been in muddy puddles.

That as a last resort which I expect we'll end up going down but at £400+ for a pair of SimS pickups it's unlikely that I'll be fitting them.

Lots of choice out there, I would like to be able to eliminate some in a systematic way. I thought resistance might be a good starting point. Clearly not as simple as I would have thought. I still hope to get something from the thread (free knowledge eh @Dad3353)

Looking through Gary Gilmour's eyes - The Adverts

When I look at replacement pickups the stats will list "resistance " and a number. The definition online doesn't help. Do I want pickups with high or low resistance?

Looking for a preamp for my Kawai so will be following this thread.

The SimS are too wide.

It doesn't sound like a Kawai - not as phat or as punchy. I need to look at alternatives to the custom pickups supplied so any advice will be welcomed on replacement MM style pickups. All very frustrating as owners of these basses know how playable they are - I haven't been able to. I've been thinking that I should have just left well alone and played it with the pick ups as they were. We live and learn (hopefully)

Can't find many reviews online so... Does anybody know anything about either or how they compare?
