  1. I haven't picked up a bass since getting the puppy but today I picked up my Yamaha TRB 511 F - I only got it a few days before I got the puppy and today was first time I've noticed that the markers are NOT on the lines. Is there a product which I can use to illuminate the lines without cutting into the lines/fretboard?
  2. I've never seen an episode of Bake Off.....followed nearly all of @Andyjr1515's builds. So more exciting than Bake Off.
  3. Two days to go and it's £120 which would be a steal if that is what is sells for. I had a fretless. The issue with many of these is the weight. If I could get to Leeds, I'd have it. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/194601748366?hash=item2d4f2b078e:g:gWgAAOSwNoZhs3UO
  4. I've had a number of Glock separates and a combo. Excellent build quality and a very usable tonal palette. I don't think that Glock gets the recognition it deserves. If I had the cash, I'd certainly think about this. GLWTS
  5. I like the roasted neck and the RW fretboard. Makes a change from maple. GLWTS

  7. Aye, they don't make them like this anymore....thankfully.
  8. Two hours??? That was quick but at this price understandable.
  9. Nice looking bass - and with "Lakland" on the headstock you can be pretty sure it is a quality bass. Laklands are another brand that sell for significantly less than you'd expect - great VFM. I'm jealous but at the same time I know I probably wouldn't play a 4 string since moving to 5ers.
  10. I have a Sansom wireless system (can't remember which model) tucked away somewhere. Eats batteries!!
  11. I bought one of the first Elf amps - so disappointed - they do not have the classic Trace tonal palette. I accept that a class D amp is unlikely ever to compete with a classic TE but I had hoped that something with a TE logo would be close.
  12. I have both a GK Backline 10 and 12" combos. The 10" has been with me since I started playing again 12 years ago - great little amps - work for home practice and for rehearsal in small spaces. Loud enough to compete with guitars and drums. If you shop around you'll find one for around £100.
  13. I'm confused....for sale??? I'd say this is well underpriced considering it's 30 years old and still in excellent condition. Similar 4 strings are selling for significantly more. If I had any money I'd be tempted. GLWTS
  14. Nobody would really want one of these Shirley? https://reverb.com/uk/p/warwick-rockbass-artist-line-bootsy-collins-space-bass?hfid=32266866&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=1726164661&utm_content=campaignid=1726164661_adgroupid=70264195649_productpartitionid=1462243850870=merchantid=346725493_productid=32266866_keyword=_device=c_adposition=_matchtype=_creative=391637461803&gclid=CjwKCAiAtdGNBhAmEiwAWxGcUm25F-i-3buLgIRsOViZ8BICtpv5W-zH4nvnrQ3omalWOrXbPsBFZxoC88UQAvD_BwE

  16. I have 2 BBG5S basses - you certainly get a lot of bass for your money. Even at £319 I still think that's a good bass for your buck.
  17. I have a Mahalo with rubber strings which is fun to play - compact and lightweight - however this is spoilt by needing to retune every two micro seconds. Constantly going out of tune (strings take ages to settle) even though it takes forever to tune for that reason. I'm waiting for somebody to invent rubber strings that don't suffer from the above problem.
  18. Probably over-priced BB614F on Cash Converters https://www.cashconverters.co.uk/shop/music-tv--video/musical-instruments/guitars--string-instruments/bass-guitar/052700070105
  19. My preferred gauge is 35-90 however not many suppliers make them. Happy to buy 40-100 as the next best.
  20. COULD YOU REHOME A PUPPY??

One of Thea's sisters has been returned to the breeder as the (novice) owner can't handle a puppy.

She needs to be rehomed with experienced dog owners who have plenty of time and space for her to burn that puppy energy . She is 19 weeks old and free to a good home. Currently in Southgate, North London, she'll need to be collected.

I have some photos which I'll upload later.

We've a full house here with our new puppy, (she's currently 5 months) and our 3 year old Cockapoo.

Fingers crossed she's got a new home by Christmas!

I think we may have a home for Thea's sister Duchess. Neighbour's boyfriend, John,  had to leave his Staffie X with his parents when he moved out so he is looking for a new dog.

We already walk with his partner, Naz, and her dog, Meeko so having Thea's sister nearby will be a bonus.

Duchess, featuring a new name, Shiva, now with neighbours. Unclear if she has ever been walked - she wanted to be carried to the park and didn't know how to play with the other dogs.

Give it a week and we'll probably see a completely different dog.

  21. Agree it looks well done but it just looks odd with silver p/ups.
  22. Window overlooking next door??? Letting them watch what you're up to?
