New bass arrived earlier. In the gig bag there was a set of used strings - round would with red silks. They look alright but no guarantees.
Free to whoever....
GONE!!
I have two....stupidly priced for what you get. Amazing tonal range, great necks, really nice balance - like many Yamahas, a lot of bass for nut many pennies.
I think the only signature bass I've owned was a Marcus Miller sire - because he actually uses them.
Whenever I watch a Scott Devine video I'm disappointed when he doesn't use his sig Overwater.
WOW!!!
TRB 5IIf arrived this morning. Beautiful and amazing to play. Came set up with the lowest action on any bass I've ever played and fitted with flat wounds. No wear on the fretboard whatsoever.
Though I only had 10mins playing it I was very impressed with the tonal quality...such gorgeous tones.
I've experimented with fretless several times but this is inspirational.
What do you think??
I sold a Squier PJ Standard a while back - as you say very versatile - punched well above it's weight in the tone department.
The solution for those who want more than a P or a J.
