    The "crack" is only in the top veneer?? Old antiquist's trick would be to melt some wax/ crayon into the "crack" with a hot iron/ cloth.

    Found this thread after somebody quoted it on Gumtree. I bought a BB615 - great bass tonally with amazing playability. My only issue is the size of the body - I prefer a smaller body - if I could transfer everything into a something like a BC Nanyo I would be a very happy bunny.

    I've always had great service from D'Addario - they were really supportive with donations at The Herts Bass Bashes.

    Bought some Rotos tapewounds (65/75/100/115) a while back - didn't actually open them till yesterday when I put them on my new Yamaha BBG5S. I didn't play the bass till today when I noticed the D/G are the same. Didn't notice when restringing the bass. I've emailed Rotosound asking for a "replacement" G string. Anybody else had a similar experience? In all my time playing I've never encountered this.

    Joined 11 years ago today....I had three basses back then. A 4 string, a 5 string and an acoustic...probably owned 50+ basses since.

    I'm not sure the BB's are for everybody. I recently bought a BB615 - great tones, etc but I can't get on with the body shape. I much prefer my BBG5S. So much so that I bought a second - they sound amazing with tapewound strings.

    There's was an Aria SB on ebay this week which I was considering. Plan was to de-head and convert to headless. Went for more than I would have paid.

    Removed the sticker, lowered the action, fine tuned the intonation and fitted tapewounds. Like a new bass - but TBF is it for me.
