  1. I had a fretless way back when. Fitted with the "Select" pick ups - totally gutless. I side-lined my Westone Thunder 1A to use it - plugged the Westone in one day as a comparison and realised it was far, far better. I've often considered getting another, fitting new wings so it doesn't look like a cricket bat and new pick ups. Thankfully I've spent my money elsewhere.
  2. On first reading I thought you meant the basses - I'm assuming now you mean the 'plates.
  3. I know that HB are slowly gaining respect within the music community but for about another £100 you could have got yourself a genuine used MM SUB 5 which won't depreciate. I suspect you'll find it easier to get pregnant than to sell this on for close to what you paid.
  4. Ooops...it isn't. 5er body, 4 string neck
  5. This may be the neck. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154529383079?_trkparms=aid%3D1110010%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.DISCCARDS%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D233198%26meid%3Dbc882477fe74493491a7fa041eaa33db%26pid%3D101110%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26sd%3D203549575931%26itm%3D154529383079%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2563228%26algv%3DDiscOrganicBase%26brand%3DGodin&_trksid=p2563228.c101110.m1982
  6. Crappy paint, No electronics - a mere £169 - In Germany so expect Brexit charges.
  7. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203549575931?hash=item2f64800afb:g:7hoAAOSwNrxhC-KC
  8. It is a clean example of a 50 year old bass - maybe the seller thinks it's valuable because it's old.
  9. You know what's coming....
  10. Keep on keeping on....
  11. Expect lots of comments about the optical illusion that fretboard creates... Another Alan masterpiece.
  12. I like the simplicity of the white fretless.
  13. Bumping...
  14. Not sure how useful this is but I assume somebody can make use of it. https://www.notreble.com/buzz/2021/08/03/mitch-gallaghers-mix-tips-how-to-mix-bass-guitar/?utm_source=newsshowcase&utm_medium=discover&utm_campaign&utm_content
  15. My Tech, in Stevenage, will make reasonable charges but getting parts for Markbass gear is a nightmare. As @Bigwan says, it would be helpful to know what's wrong with it.
  16. Has this sold? Did the buyer receive this once you received the money?
  17. I've seen this on eBay...sold yet??
  18. A P/J is a P pick up at the neck position and a J pick up at the bridge.
  19. Let me be the first to congratulate you on a wise decision and offer my home to the bass should you need somebody to look after it indefinitely. 😉😉 Remember that I offered first!!
  20. No, I reckon you could get at least another 2 or 3 on there...but don't tell Mrs Travis that it was me that said so...
  21. ...and they all lived happily ever after. 😀😀
  22. I'd suggest getting used to what you have currently before throwing sackfuls of money at instruments. Playing fretless is not as simple as you'd think - I've owned several but always struggled. If it's your plan to then consider locking away all your fretted basses to avoid distraction. If you're undecided on a J or P consider getting a P/J which will give you the best of both worlds.
  23. The builder is a member here. He has had some really nice basses for sale over the past year or so....
  24. Considering that Jaydee are considered relics from the 80s they do seem to be doing alright. I should never have sold my first one...
