Sad to hear that the COVID has again impacted on, what is generally, a great day out. I'd love to attend, however I appreciate people's reservations. Seen you all in 2022 hopefully.

Possibly a reflection of how mental health services have failed, not only the "ordinary man/ woman", but also those who become high profile cases known to the public at large, and the consequences of mental health issues. The tale of Syd Barrett is the sad paradigm that encapsulates the great triumphs and underscoring tribulations that defined the golden age of music. https://faroutmagazine-co-uk.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/faroutmagazine.co.uk/the-life-of-pink-floyds-syd-barrett-and-sixties-dark-side/?amp=&_gsa=1&_js_v=a6&usqp=mq331AQIKAGwASCAAgM%3D#ampshare=https%3A%2F%2Ffaroutmagazine.co.uk%2Fthe-life-of-pink-floyds-syd-barrett-and-sixties-dark-side%2F

Which is why Paul moved to Blackstar. I was chatting to him at LBGS and he said he left because there was little commitment from Peavey to develop the TE brand.

Lighter gauge E string with rounds=better tone?
TheGreek replied to shoulderpet's topic in Accessories and Misc
I use light strings on everything - 95s on 4 strings and 110/115 on 5ers. I haven't noticed any loss of tone (nor has anybody ever commented on it) - and lighter strings were popular in the 80s and nobody ever commented on that. In general we are talking about 0.05 to 0.10 aren't we? -

I ordered my Elf at the LBGS when they first came out and waited 6 months before it arrived. When it finally arrived I was so disappointed. NOT a Trace Elliot!!! I, for one, won't even be thinking about the new amp. If I want a well built British amp I'll buy an Ashdown. To quote The Who, "I won't get fooled again".
