  1. I've had a few people contact me regarding the white "sucked sweet" knobs and I've sold a few. I currently have 39 left (selling quickly) - if you want some for £1 each (plus P&P) be quick.
  2. Perfect opportunity missed to use the classic Blue Peter line "..and here's one I prepared earlier". Looking good.
  3. Wal....Yes I know I've had two. The first was a Pro which had many silly little problems including being badly set up, had crackly pots and numerous dings and dents the seller didn't mention. I sent it back and eventually got my money back. He later sold the bass here. The second was a Custom which had fewer issues but I just didn't gel with. Neck profile was my main issue. Traded it with Nick Smith for a GA24 and a few other bits...I felt like I got the best of the deal.
  4. Timewarp!!! One of my friends had one of these (or something very similar) when I first started playing.
  5. I have no issues with either J or P profile necks. The only bass I've ever had issues with the neck profile was on a Wal.
  6. From reviews I've read they're just normal Rotos 66s with a black coating which, according to reviews, is prone to wearing off. So they are essentially "less expensive" Black Beauties or Auroras. At first I thought they were Tapewounds due to the wording "coated". Not the case. Rotosound are producing well priced tapewounds. https://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/strings-c1/string-sets-c865/bass-guitar-c34/rotosound-tru-bass-flatwound-rs88ld-bass-strings-65-115-black-nylon-p799?gclid=Cj0KCQjw2NyFBhDoARIsAMtHtZ6pBbV-qAJIRRArikZ5ZRV-WwxR7CJcYs1OO24wzffLZgMmFa1NKDAaAiPQEALw_wcB#fo_c=1949&fo_k=4b58082cbb4dd65feb18ed9194ed8d28&fo_s=gplauk?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term= There's nothing revolutionary about the Nexus range - except maybe the price.
  7. Am I going senile or suffering with Deja Vu? I'm sure there's an existing thread... I'm not going mad!!
  8. That's like something from the history books. Lots of love for Ashdown here - rightfully. Keep up the good work @Ashdown Engineering

  10. Ooops...should have read the whole thread.
  11. Seen some nice projects come out of Chez Hazbeen - good luck with the project

  13. Why would you want to devalue a high end instrument? If it isn't what you want, sell it and buy what you do want - even if it means commissioning a new bass.
  14. Y Viva Espana - Sylvia (hopefully not OUR Sylvia, The Bluejay)
  15. A spine (after all we are the back bone of the music)
  16. I think you'll find that's the collective noun for guitarists
  17. Looks like we're shy One Horse - Colourbox
