  1. If we're looking at "the new great all rounder" then I would suggest that the ingredients for bass would have the SimS system, giving owners the choice of H/P/J pups in any shape bass they want. Add any preamp you like for the seasoning.
  2. Wasn't there a cover of "No woman no cry" in the 80s? Googled but couldn't find anything. Thankfully nobody's referred to the bastardisation of "Night Nurse" by Simple Red
  3. Yeah...Easy Star All-Stars have done a few albums including Thrilla, Dubber Side, Sgt Peppers....all on my phone.. I'm thinking that there aren't many that went the other way.
  4. When Nuclear Armageddon comes and the world ends the survivors will be found inside TE gear, safe and sound. When electricity is reintroduced they will be heard for miles around and Bass Players of the world will rejoice... LONG LIVE TRACE ELLIOT!!! GLWTS btw...
  5. Hole in my shoe - Neil from The Young Ones
  6. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114827589616?hash=item1abc41f7f0:g:K0YAAOSws69gr6g3
  7. Something similar on eBay for £132 with 4 days to go https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124748107970?hash=item1d0b9110c2:g:JFQAAOSwACNgsndK
  8. BBG4A 11 on Gumtree for £200 - blue quilted maple top - looks nice. https://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-instrument/yamaha-bbg4aii-bass-guitar-/1403564644
  9. As I said "selling good will for pittance". The amount of money I could have potentially spent with them compared to the cost of one string...makes no business sense to me.
  10. There are many, many Reggae tracks which are covers of Rock tracks but the only one I can think that was a Reggae track first and covered by a rock artist is "I shot the Sherriff" by Bob Marley/ Eric Clapton. There must be others....
  11. I have a problem with one of the Low B strings being dull - sonically and aesthetically. Thomann want me to make a video demonstrating this. We're talking about £7 - I hate companies which are prepared to sell "Good will" for such a pittance.
  12. Midnight at the Oasis - Brand New Heavies
  13. Fly me to The Moon - so many, I couldn't even start to list them.
  14. I keep looking at this thinking "that's a nice bass". Then I remember I've gone off jazz basses... GLWTS
  15. Sid Vicious was apparently the name of John Lydon's hamster...
  16. Love The Doors. If you want some incite into the songs get "An American Prayer"....
  17. I too bought some CDs from Mike - two Esperanza Spalding CDs for £2 each!!! Ridiculous I know. Mike clearly has little faith and trust in the postal system as he wrapped the CDs in packaging which would survive the Nuclear Holocaust. Trade with confidence....
