    Recently acquired a 5er with twin soapbars/ humbuckers but prior to that I had been playing mostly PJ configuration basses. I felt that both Jazz and Precision basses lacked "something" that the PJ set up gave me. What is your preference? Remember there is no "right" or "wrong" (unless you disagree with me, of course) 😜😜

    That is both our curse and our gift...we make a huge contribution which goes virtually unnoticed...and most people couldn't even name a handful of bassists.

    Good question - I see a lot of these for sale and often ask myself if they're any good - they certainly look well made, but you never can tell. TBH though, there aren't many badly made basses any more. Certainly a lot fewer than when I started playing...

    My favourite Beatles track is "Norwegian wood" - thankfully hasn't been (over)played to death. I can't say that I've heard a version of it that I prefer...

    Disagree...Drum and Bass are the sandwich, guitar is the interchangeable bit that you squeeze in for a bit of variety but gets all the attention.

    Probably won't be a deal breaker for any potential buyers but is the Low B Nickel and the rest of the set stainless steel?

    I really don't like dings in my gear but once I have them I don't fret (sorry...no pun intended) about it. I just hate putting the dings in, in the first place.

    Does the water content mean that the Swamp Ash grows more in the same period leading to it being less dense? I would have thought that the "wetter" wood would be heavier.

    Interesting....I'm very happy with my Skyline 55-01 despite people advising the need to change the pick ups and pre-amp - both of which the previous owner had upgraded. How is the USA "better" than the Indonesian?
