If it's currently too thin you can always find another timber for the face/back. The concerns about it being weighty could be alleviated by chambering the body before adding aforementioned face/back.

A while back I picked up a very nice Harley Benton Tele with a Paisley finish which played quite nicely. A trip across Hertfordshire to @gary mac's where he installed a Bigsby-a-like trem, dressed the frets and installed a new set of strings and it now plays lovely, thanks very much. Geeetarist friends don't believe it's a budget model.

It's Mark from Talkingbass! Yesterday saw the release of the Scales For Bass App for Iphone and I've had many emails asking about whether there will be an Android version in the future. Well, some of you may not have read through the email to the section regarding this point so I'm here to remind you that...Yes, there will be an Android release for the Scales For Bass App. There will also be a modified tablet release also. The Android version is currently in development so expect the release very soon. The reason we've held off releasing across all platforms is simply so we can devote all attention to that one version, sort out any issues and add any important features that might come to light from you the users. Then, once we've worked through that early stage, we can release to other platforms such as Android without the worry of changes across multiple versions. In only this past day, we've already had some great suggestions that we'll strive to implement. A left hand orientation will be created and we're also looking at accessibility integration for blind users. Tomorrow, the weekly Youtube lesson will look at the app, how it works and how best to make use of the various scale patterns listed. The scales are selected by position which many of you Scale Essentials course students will totally understand. However, some of you might wonder how and why those positions are applied to the fretboard. All will be revealed tomorrow. So, for you current Iphone users, remember the app can be found here: https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id1509697613?pt=376282&ct=email&mt=8 I'll see you tomorrow for the Youtube premiere as always. Enjoy! Mark
