    Another vote for wire wool - check by feel periodically after wiping off with a dry duster.

    I regrettably sold a G&L M2000 - lightweight, twin Humbuckers, phat tones...and they can be found in your budget. Try one before giving anybody your money for something else.

    I used to use mine with as Vanderkley 112 - Paired with the TE you have the luxury of a clean sound cab and it being lightweight.
