  1. I was thinking about placing a bid then saw his username https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Squier-precision-P-Bass-Project-Relic-Road-Worn/324155547538?hash=item4b792d1f92:g:AlgAAOSweqper~kK
  2. My Royal Mail 48hour Tracked Return arrived at it's destination yesterday - after 19 days...during that time I was unable to track it...

I've had a load of stuff arrive in good time.

Except for some pickup screws from Black Dog, which were purchased on 12th April and still just show a tracking number but nothing else.

      Hi Guys,

I sent a bass 10 days ago using Eurosender pickup and delivery.

They ( DPD) picked up the next day at 2pm in Suffolk and it was delivered 10am in Ascot. Not far I know but still quick and all in one piece. Used BASSCHAT10 discount code at checkout.

£24.46 which included insurance up to €1000 . Same price up to 10kg ( 9kg my box ) and up to 170cm long box.

I’ve been ripped off by UPS recently £55 within UK insured and £66 to Germany. So it’s Eurosender from now on for me , if they keep this up.

      Cheers, Quent

You have to remember that Royal Mail handle much more than just parcels. To some extent they are hampered as there workers must self isolate if they show any symptoms, The so called "self employed" delivery drivers  working for many of the couriers, almost have to work whether they are ill or not.

  3. I would suggest that little knocks to your high end gear can cause depreciation of hundreds of pounds hence people being precious about their high end gear. I sold on my GB Rumour, Ritter Cora and what is now Frank Blank's SC ACG for just this reason. Yes, they are tools but nobody wants to see them damaged by some drunken numpty who thinks "sorry" will make it alright.
  4. You sir, deserve some form of medal/award/prize/ honour for your services to Basskind... Glad I don't live next door when you turn them up though...
  5. Like that single cut...
  6. Thankfully for us impulse buyers they're out of stock...Phewwww!!
  7. The concave body design was a real eye opener when it came in..seemed so obvious. Still one of my favourite design concepts so much so I asked @Andyjr1515 to use them on both my Psilos and Silk Basses.
  8. I was keen to avoid the digital option...
  9. I like...Jezza, I hate you even more
  10. Not having bathroom scales at home I've always had to guestimate so I bought one of these. Might not get used everyday but hopefully will earn it's keep (£5) in the time i have it....and no, you can't borrow them when you go fishing. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223785363560
  11. Lots of sound advice with these ringing true for me.. I'm not a fan of "run of the mill" basses and I think I've only ever owned 3x Fenders, none of which impressed. As many have pointed out, there are very few poorly built new basses - lots of people have recommended Sire, G&L, but the entry models for Spectors and Warwick are very usable and shouldn't be ignored. This is true of many brands - surprised there haven't been more recommendations for the Revelations. Looking through the "Basses for Sale" thread there are some excellent basses available (including my Spector and G&L) a very nice through neck Spector, some very good VFM Squiers (don't think of them as a "Poor man's Fender") all in your budget and leaving plenty for a nice (Trace Elliot??) amp. I'm not too far from you - if you want to come and try some of my equipment for ideas, then PM me.
  12. The Spector is a fair bass too...hence why I'm finding it hard to decide which to keep/sell.
  13. Confirmed....I'll take the Ritter R8 as commission, thanks. Even if it wasn't Bernard selling it, you can expect great things from any of Alan's (ACG) creations...."lot of bass for your buck" could have been written for Alan's work.
  14. As @la bam says "Brightboxes"...I have one...ideal "as well as", not "instead of"... Though some may disagree, they add some colour to your tone when using a bigger cab. If you're looking for something to pair with your Elf see if you can find a 1x10 extension cab which came with the BLX range - easier said than done but they do come up on eBay occasionally. IIRC I paid around £75 for mine.
  15. If you are set on spending £1k+ you really need to consider an ACG - superbly built from high end components and Alan is a member here. You'll have to go a long way to find a dissatisfied customer - many owners have more than one.
  16. Didn't buy one... Hard to believe, I know.....I've bought nearly everything else.
  17. No scales but I would say "not heavy" - around the 8/9lb region I reckon. I'll see if any of my neighbours have bathroom scales...
  18. If you post your location you might find a cooperative BCer who would be prepared to flout the social distancing advice and let you try some of their basses..
  19. Did you hear about the Referee who retaliates after being hit by the batsman?? Yep, you got it - the Umpire strikes back
  20. So it wasn't strange when you were allowed to kiss next door's dog?? 😕😕
  21. I have a G&L M2000 Tribute - very good bass - and not just for the money. If I'd bought this when I first started playing again I might only have one bass...anybody who knows me will probably be laughing in disbelief...it is a very good bass though.
  22. Does anybody know anything about this head or the brand itself. Not too much info on t'net https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/153909016262
  23. I sent out a similar email on the internal system at work yesterday...very few people got it!!
