  1. These??? I hadn't seen these before.
  2. I use these: You're right though, the velcro does stick to everything.
  3. I prefer a Jazz to a Precision, however in the bigger scheme of things I wouldn't call either "a good looking bass". Personally I think the design on the Bass Collection Nanyo has a lot going for it. Love the body shape, however the headstock is a bit dated. The Spector/ Warwick design is another favourite, the curved body IMO was a great innovation. Again, IMO there are "classic lines" in design. When we designed my Psilos Bass one of my cues was having the top volute flow into the lower. You can see this design cue on the Warwick Dolphin and several of the Ritter designs which influenced the final shape.
  4. The ad reports that the strings are made by "General Music Strings", UK - I googled that company name. A company of that name went into liquidation in 2017. https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/00367243
  5. There were three posts in the "wanted" section before Xmas..
  6. Got some info about the switch: That is the pickup selector switch, when its facing up it will only activate the neck pickup. When its flicked down it only activates the bridge pickup. Or: we cant`s see what funktion the switch has. could be.... seriell - parallel switch for pickups Or: I'm afraid i could not find any information on this bass. I do think it will switch between active and passive. or: We’ll do our best to try and help you out. I am certain that this switch has been added as the stock BBN411 models do not have this modification. The previous owner or owners must have retro fitted to perform some kind of function. As it’s unique to this instrument it would be impossible for us to determine exactly what it does without seeing the bass in the flesh. Maybe you could give us an idea of what it does when you use the switch? Does it change the sound at all? Is it a kill switch that turns the sound on / off? Is there an active circuit in the bass and it’s a switch to engage the circuit ? Does it run the pickups in series or parallel? I hope this helps? Experts, eh...
  7. Monster amp...potential buyers wanting to hear what it sounds like can just ask you to turn it up (a bit). GLWTS
  8. Might be an idea to list it's weight empty so potential buyers have an idea what it'll weigh loaded. I'm sure those castors earn their keep..
  9. Seen this?? 10. As @Andyjr1515 says, companies charge extra for this additional "character". Remove the bits you can and sand to get rid of any sharp edges.

  17. I've sold some beautiful high end basses all because I was too precious with them - GB, Ritter, ACG, all gone to new homes where the new owners have the worries about any little knock devaluing the bass by £200. I currently have a Squier, a G&L Tribute and a Bass Collection on the living room rack.
