Changed the CD in the car earlier - reached into the pile and pulled out Jimi Hendrix greatest hits.
It felt like I'd heard every track a million times- forced myself to listen to it even though it was punishing.
Next time I'm in the car I'll be swapping it out.
Similar experience??
I can't see any downsides to fitting a new set of strings especially if you are not happy with the existing set.
You could use this opportunity to clean the fretboard and even have the bass set up to your own liking.
Personally I prefer light gauge strings - you should try different gauges (know any other bassists?) to try to decide what you like.
I've seen a few of those come up for sale for silly money.
Sellers always seem to think that they have a forgotten gem that's worth a small fortune.
That or they're really hopeful.
I got a message from the fella I sold my BB615 to, @Edmund_Gomes thanking me for selling it to him and extolling its virtues.
He's in India so they're not as readily available as they are here.
Nice to hear from a happy buyer.
Long live the Independent Trader!!
I dread the day that the huge companies have a monopoly over what is available to buy.
Sometimes it isn't just about how cheap you can buy something.
