I can't believe that Will doesn't already have a feedback thread but the search facility yielded nothing. Mods, if there is an existing thread please merge. Anyway, found an amp that Will was selling on Gumtree. Matched a cab I'd taken in a trade so a few messages later we reached a deal and the amp is on its way to me. Will clearly knows his gear and has several other very desirable items for sale on Gumtree - so take a look. More than happy to trade again. Good man.

I have the SimS pickups in a custom build and even though they are excellent you can buy two of these basses for the price of a pair of SimS pickups. Worth thinking about how to spend the £450.

Welcome sir... TBH you can get much more bass for not many more pennies just by reading a few of the threads here. If you're committed to playing bass you will outgrow the Encore within 6 months and will have to sell it and find a replacement. You will find many good basses in the £200 range - a similar amount will get you a half decent Ashdown or Trace Elliot combo which will do fine till you are gigging regularly.
