I've often "too cheap" on items here. In general I think that gear posted here for sale is pretty close to being fair prices. I'm open to offers...as long as they're not taking the pisss offers and I'll offer what I think is fair. Hate the "it's worth what someone will pay for it " BS...everything has a real value, whether the buyer is there on the day doesn't reset the scales.

I'm always one to "big up" companies that provide excellent service - here's my feedback for the service I received from Black Dog supplies on eBay. I needed a nut for a 5 string bass so off I went to eBay - found several including the one from Black Dog supplies. Like many I carried on looking and ticked/ watched a few items. When time came to actually place the order I clicked on the 4 string version - - I didn't realise at first but when I did I contacted Mark at Black Dog and explained the situation. He very helpfully checked what I needed , confirmed my order and sent the order out that day. With the effect Brexit is having on purchasing parts in the UK it's nice to have a company that you can rely on to provide quality parts at reasonable prices.

For some reason the search facility can't find Tom's feedback - I'm sure I've seen one for him, so is he...The mods have suggested that I start a new one which can be merged when the "real one" turns up. Anyway...Tom had a Yamaha BBG5 with a troublesome neck - maxed out truss rod - fortunately I had a brand new "spare" for said bass. Seemed silly not to take the bass off his hands. Following negotiations bass found its way to me where I duly assembled the parts provided only to find the neck I had was without a nut.....now on order with Black Dog instrument parts. Tom, proper gent, kept me apprised at each development - packing, posting and the tracking info. No hesitation trading with him again - you shouldn't either... TOP BCer!!
