  1. Online auction? I'll go £7.50
  2. I have the Squier version which is a very usable bass. Hangs well, plays well and sounds more than OK. They can be picked up for very little considering what you get - would recommend to anyone looking for an active bass.
  3. Phew...I thought that he had died...
  4. I can see clearly now the rain has gone - Johnny Nash
  5. Private Dancer - Tina Turner??
  6. Under my thumb - The Rolling Stones
  7. I found a pair of replacement truss rod nuts recently sent to me by Yamaha UK. I think that they're metric. PM me with your address
  8. Rotterdam- The Beautiful South
  9. Thanks for what you do during the day.
  10. Cherry 🍒 pie - Sade A real song, would you believe.
  11. Man arrested over fatal shooting of Tupac Shakur in 1986 https://f7td5.app.goo.gl/P4cDU5
  12. Currently... Give it a while and the GAS will get to you and your collection will increase. When I joined I had one 4, one 5 and an acoustic. I have a few more now
  13. Three relatively expensive basses already?? You'll fit in perfectly here....Welcome.
  14. I'll wait 18months and look at a used one. After all it's not a P or a J so any Fender aficionados who get one will move it on for the reason above.
  15. Message from Guy Hellier: Definitely one if Bruce's later basses. He had an endorsement with them for a few years and they even did a signature limited edition target one. Obviously, this is from his FTJ time but definitely a very nice piece for a collector. Happy bidding!
  16. Did you knab the 4 string P type that was on ebay recently? I looked at that but I'm not playing my 4s so passed on it.
  17. Donut let the sun go down on me - Nik Kershaw
  18. Peter Barton <[email protected]> To:Me Fri, 29 Sept at 15:03 Yes it did belong to Bruce All the best Peter Sent from my iPhone
  19. IIRC wasn't there some fella called "Pastorius" or something that used to have a go??
  20. I've just looked at the Warwick Black label strings (which used to be around £15) - they've shot up in price to over £20.
  21. ...which sell for less than a tenner if you shop around. https://www.bax-shop.co.uk/electric-bass-guitar-strings/warwick-42200-m-red-strings-stainless-steel-4-string-medium-electric-bass-guitar-strings-045-105?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=surfaces&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=18344726315&utm_term=&adgroup=&creative=&gclid=CjwKCAjw69moBhBgEiwAUFCx2Mjm7981Na0i-2luIx5U-Mn01_AM0L7ojkyzI1cvOV_1pvOZkCKzpRoCybYQAvD_BwE
  22. When I started it was Rotos or Dean Markley - I don't think that there was even a choice of gauges - not in my local shop anyway. I now use flats or tapewounds where possible. They may seen expensive initially but they seem to last forever and I wouldn't be surprised if Noah used them on The Ark in his spare time.
  23. Message from Guy Hellier - he'll contact BF later this week for more info. Hmmm - what are the chances we could get him to come to this year's SE Bash?? 🤔🤔
  24. You can never have enough cake.... What a daft question. Of course there are Tea and Coffee making facilities - what would we have with your cake?? 😊😊
