  1. Yep, I find it easier to learn on a new bass.
  2. I'm reading this while listening to "Would I lie to you" on the telly in the background. For a brief second I thought that this was a lie.
  3. Your Smitt machine isn't working properly if you're only a "little bit" smitten. You need to get your smitt together sir..😷
  4. They have a FB account https://www.facebook.com/jdouglasguitars/
  5. Nice...how difficult is it to remove the covers? I'd want them (only) for my Spector, currently at the Tech's having a new pre fitted.
  6. Sheeet!! I knew I had something to do today!! Pretty sure it was worth the wait...enjoy..
  7. Perfect example of the difference between a company that cares about their clients and their reputation and one that doesn't. If you choose to make a complaint I would link that to this thread advising you will make good on your complaint based on their response.
  8. We gotta get outta this place - The Animals
  9. Well well said the rocking chair - Dean Freidman
  10. I was going to ask whether it's financially astute to return it to original - @walshy suggests not. Even so if it has sentimental value I'd think about it. I'd expect a Gibson to increase in value over time so maybe one day....
  11. Waiting on a Friend - The Rolling Stones
  12. A second transaction with Craig, this time me buying a Gallien Kruger 1x15 cab and collecting from his home. Super smooth transaction and a lengthy chat about gear and how good it is compared to the stuff of yesteryear for the price. Again, no hesitation in trading with Craig in the future. Top fella!!
  13. I bought one of these with the intention of using the neck for another project which didn't pan out. They are very similar to the BBG5 model. I had trouble finding any significant difference.
  14. Nice...I see a bad case of seller's remorse just over the horizon.
  15. ..and it felt weird. Used to be my weapon of choice for a long time and I struggled with anything but. When I picked up the 4 string fretless earlier the neck felt tiny, the strings too far apart and it felt anorexic and underweight. I'm waiting for my Spector 6er to come back from the electro tech with a new preamp fitted, can I expect something similar from my 5ers?
