Now I'm probably not the best person to make this judgement but don't you think that 10 of virtually the same guitar just might be a bit of a problem?? Take a seat and tell us about your childhood. 👴

School Days or We supply by Stanley Clarke. I'd also include You can call me Al by Paul Simon. -
Have you contacted your local body shop? Small businesses might be prepared to take the job on, especially if you do the preparation.

Thank dog you weren't involved in an accident and the car was towed away.

There was a hollow body violin style weird thing on ebay recently. You can see the 60s influence designs there.

TBH I haven't listened to any Supertramp other than what was forced at me during the late 80s - mostly Breakfast in... When one album is overplayed it can put you off bands forever.

What about the Ritter Royal Flora Aurum? Is the tone improved by having the details below? Remember it did cost £250k. The fingerboard inlay features flowers made of 24-karat gold, with platinum-dipped black diamonds on each leaf. This bass is literally dripping in gold; the tuner, bridge, knobs, and buttons are all made of gold. Not only that, but diamonds top each knob. The knob position marks are made of green diamonds. If this bass didn’t get any more extra, the nut is made of ivory from a 10,000-year-old Siberian Mammoth. -

I thought about that but I would probably end up keeping the cheap Ray pup. Also how much do you think I could get for a second hand £20 pickup?

Combinations of kit that are a sonic match made in heaven
TheGreek replied to BillyBass's topic in Amps and Cabs
Some of the best tones I have ever produced came from a TE head and Vanderkley cab. Basses I had at the time included an ACG Harlot and Ritter Cora. -
I know that EBS are well respected but I still think that they don't get the full respect that the equipment deserves. I had a 360w head and 2x10 cab which I foolishly sold to go lightweight. IMO one of the best setups I ever had - coincidentally the same rig as Laurence Cottle was using at the time which led to a great conversation when he did a seminar at the first Herts Bash. Really should have held on to it.

Agree with every word written. Any time I have needed to have contact with Ashdown the service has exceeded my expectations. I once bought an amp from ebay, after speaking to Guy I had it sent straight to the Ashdown factory where it was serviced FOC and sent to me without charge. I didn't give them a penny!! That is my yardstick for good customer service and nobody, and I mean nobody, has come close. Closest was Bernie Goodfellow who, similarly, was servicing a bass for the owner which I bought while in his care. Bernie rang me to ask how I wanted the bass set up - loooow - and what strings I liked. I like very light strings (95s ideally) - he didn't have a set in stock so went and bought a set, set the action and fitted the strings for me. He even paid for the courier - so a very close second. Big companies have no excuse!! - Warwick are you listening??

I've been looking for a white pickup cover for my short scale Musicman without any luck. I could buy a replacement pick up with a white cover for £20 but I already have enough unused parts in my parts box. After trying everywhere else I finally tried Strings'n'things - the UK importers for Musicman - expecting to be told "no, go away". However I got a prompt response saying "Yes, give us your address and we'll order one for you". AMAZING!!! Here's the details you'll need to place an order: [email protected] M05343 – SR White H Version Only – RRP £8.10 incl. VAT + £2.50 P&P.
