    Does the app editor have the same level of functionality as the desktop software or atleast full control of all parameters? If I can edit via my phone that will work well enough for rehearsals and I don't see myself wanting to make adjustments lives so I can live with that.

    I have been missing having a envelope filter pedal on my board for a while and my new band has a pop/edm edge that really leans towards a bit of wub wub, funky filter effects and synthy tones I've loved the Moog MF-101 ever since I saw Corinne Bailey Rae live about ten years ago, her bass player had one it just sounded so good. My other filter gas had always been the the EHC microsynth, i had always chased after that dramatic slow rising filter effect it does so well many classic filter pedals cant cop. So in my latest GAS I started wondering how easy it would be to clone the moog but i think it's probably far beyond my skill, i've looked at few other project filters but am not sure. In my googling I stumbled across a number of posts comparing the moog to the source audio spectrum and started to get intrigued, then I heard that the C4 can cop all the filter effects the spectrum managers and more. I've also seen mention that it can do some bit crushing sounds and that is another effect I've been considering for some time too. My only reservation really is that I'm a bit of pedal Luddite in that I prefer to have individual pedals for as many elements of my sounds as possible this was one of the reasons I've never gone for the EHC microsynth as I like to have separate fully controllable octave, drive and fuzz effects. Although this does lead to some inevitable tap dancing escapades at time. Currently on my board I have a Boss OC-2 most for the classic 1 octave down sound, a Digitech Riccochet for digital fast tracking doubled octave down plus clean and some whammy-esque bits, Myrtle Corvid (Coloursound jumbo tonebender clone) for Fuzz and a mad professor blueberry bass OD clone for those sounds currently. In my reading I've also heard people praise the C4/Spectrum it's octave effects so I'm also wondering if it can would replace the OC-2 and Riccochet, I can see that I might need to also pick up a DMC micro and expression pedal to go with too so that I have access to different presets easily as switching between sounds like just octave and adding in filters ontop would be really beneficial. So is it worth it? Is there anything I'm over looking.

    I saw The Nova Twins in Bristol live last weekend and was absolutely blown away. I'd been listening to the band for about year and loved the demos but my god, live they bring exactly what you hope them too. Let alone the energy and stage presence they had as band, like watching a combination of Destiny's Child and Rage Against the Machine on stage. But my god the bass sound is incredible. Georgia South is getting some really impressive forward thinking live EDM/dubstep/grime sounds out of her rig live. Huge subs but equally blistering heavy riffs too. I tried to catch a look at her pedal board at the end of the show and it looked huge and unfortunately was covered by a fluffy cow pattern blanket (love the style all the same). I think I spotted a source audio hot hand on her finger. I think they're one of the most exciting heavy rock acts to come out in a long long time so would Defo recommend checking them out. Plus playing and equipment wise a really inspiration.

    I'd be worried I'd need to purchase a sperate crossover pedal to preserve the low end if the pedal doesn't feature that functionality.

    Over the lockdown I went down allot YouTube deconstructing the mix videos and was struck by how often chorus was used on bass not just on old 80's stuff that you imagine but also lots of the 90's alt-rock and nu-metal. Being born in the 80's it's only more recently I've reconciled myself to that classic Bass Chorus sound ala The cure as for most of my 20's I'd kinda written it off as corny sounding (along with most 90's music) But hearing how more subtle applications of this affect had been used on everything from Nirvana, Jeff Buckley to Linkin Park and a bunch of the nu-metal era stuff all of which I loved growing up. Along with having some more post-punk talking heads-esque sounding material in a new band that felt like more overt chorusing could work well with the bass Allot of the video's mention Andy Wallace as the mix engineer and mention that he used a specific symphonic setting on the Yamaha SPX-90 and ever since I've been musing over how to achieve that in a live rig. For a little while I was using a old Peavey combo that had a crossover and chorus effect that was if not close at least fun, but the amp wasn't really loud enough. So I picked up a EHX Bass Clone on here which is a nice pedal although I find that there's a little bit of EQ scoop when using the crossover function to preserve the low end that must be around 80's as I notice it most when playing a E2. So wondering what might be the best way to get a much closer to this effect, I toyed with the multi-fx/modelling route as possible being one approach but I really prefer having individual pedals and I feel like if I start into the world f the Quad or Helix I will end up getting lost doing so much effecting that I'll run out of DSP. So I'm looking for mutli-voice chorus (I'm assuming that will be closer to the Symphonics style of chorus) which still preserves low end so probably has a crossover function. So far my short list is the Source Audio Gemini and the Iron Ether Polytope. Anyone have any experience with either, or more knowledge about the Symphonic algorithm than me or suggestions of what else might get closer.
