Andy there is EU I-Amp for sale here. Graeme
Got my eye on that Graeme, I was really hoping to shift this one or the Promethean that I am also selling before I pull the trigger on that one............. However - you know what they say about "He who hesitates"!!

Price drop to £699 [s]Thinking of upgrading [/s]Have upgraded to DB, so have decided to offer my NXT 5 up for sale. It is the black model, bought new at Christmas and it has been a great introduction to upright playing. In excellent condition as you would expect for a four month old instrument, there is a tiny area of minor discolouration at the dusty end of the fingerboard, certainly not wear and tear as I've never ventured that far up!! I have also coloured over some of the dot markers, as I found there were just too many and it was a distraction - it is now pretty much the same as your bass guitar, rather than a dot at every semitone. It comes with the standard soft case and tripod plus a spare set of strings. It will have to be collection only I'm afraid, from Swindon but I will include an endpin stand which would cost over a hundred quid to buy. So you will be saving £200 on a new instrument, plus strings at about £100 plus endpin stand at another £100. I must be crazy!! Specs HERE (please note - The endpin is included but not the tripod stand pictured above. The tripod pictured below is included)
Maybe a silly question, but why have more than 4 strings on a Bass? Are they better? Have they always been around, or is it a fairly recent occurence?
Pretty obvious really - your guitarist is less likely to pick it up and make a tw*t of himself thinking he can play bass!

I bought this from BGTAndy here in January with a view to plugging my Fishman double bass pre into the effects return, in addition to using my bass guitar into the normal input. It all worked okay, but was a bit of a faff about unplugging the fishman and plugging the bass back into the input when switching between instruments, so I've now decided to look for a 2 channel amp head (which is what I should have done in the first place!) It is quite clear that BGTAndy has looked after this, and it only has a small scratch on the underside (see pic) Most of you know how great these sound, and how small and light they are but here's a link to the GB site anyway http://www.genzbenz....&sid=610&cid=95 I am after £350 posted and that includes a fitted Genz Benz Shuttle gig bag I am looking for an EU I-Amp micro and would be prepared to add a little cash for a trade deal Pics

The only reason I want to sell this is because I need a 2 channel amp. Really cuts through the mix and goes proper LOUD! Note this is the head only, and I believe no longer available in 500w It has been fully overhauled and checked after a dry solder joint was detected about a year ago and has been totally reliable over about 40 gigs since.Having said that, it still looks like new and if you look at my feedback you will see that I do look after my gear. I believe there are a couple of Eminence users on here, I wonder whether I could ask a favour? I like the Idea of the "Steady Foot" endpin fitted to the instrument and I am trying to establish whether it is worth the effort to try and make something similar for my NXT It would be a great help if someone could measure the diameter of the tubular section for me, and a fairly close up photo of where the endpin attaches to the body would be just the ticket. Also a photo of the 'T' piece would be helpful. Any help appreciated and I'll buy you a virtual pint for your trouble Of course, if you want to sell your eminence.............. Thanks in anticipation Andy

I think you must be referring to "wesfinn" at http://www.steedbasses.co.uk

What about when a punter aproaches you mid-song with a request? Annoying or what

There is an Endpin Stand available, a bit pricy imo but they do come up on ebay occasionally. Trouble is, if you get one of those you then have to figure a way of supporting the instrument when its not in use (another ninety quid for a K&M Stand? )

Can't you detatch the Promethean head from the speaker? I have a P500H (head only) and it really kicks through my EAD 212. I've also got a GB Shuttle 6 which ticks all the boxes if you're interested

London Bass Guitar Show 2013 - 2 and 3/03/2013
I have bad news for us Warwick-mad lefties. Their stand appeared to be well ready this afternoon when I was at the show. They have a good number of basses there - but NOT ONE OF THEM LEFT-HANDED. I saw a nice lefty Corvette 4 waiting to be put in place at another stand, and several lefty Höfner MacCartney models - but not much else for us.
Can you recall whether they had any of the PS Star basses there? Looks like this Been gassin' for one for a while - Barclaycard on standby! -
I regularly work in London and always come in from the M4, and park at Hounslow West tube station, which costs about £5 for the day, then get the tube in on a 1 day travel card for about £8
Sounds like a plan! -

Whats the parking like around the venue these days? Just wondering whether public transport would be preferable? Or cheaper! -

Very easy and pleasant transaction with Andrew for his Shuttle 6. He kept me informed at all times and got it to my doorstep in double quick time, it was very well packed and had clearly been treated well. I would happily deal with him again, all round good egg!

I would see how it sounds with the pre fitted before you spend your hard earned on pickups. I fitted a U-Retro to a GB75 and it sounded so good I kept the original pick ups. I think string spacing is slightly wider than a Stingray so you might have to take that into account if you are considering replacement pups?
