I just practice a few dots on a piece of paper to get my eye in first, then one dab on each dot and its fine for about 6 months

This is what i use on my Status Shark, which has brass markers that are a bugger to see under stage lighting. It wears of after about 6 months so i just give it another dab. [attachment=35202:432720279.jpg]

I have one thats identical to this, except mine has a Seymour Duncan pre fitted. Cracking bass, and this is an absolute bargain if it plays anything like mine! Someone snatch his hand off!!

I used to get that problem, until I built my BFM Omni cabs, never had it since. The BFM has a very articulate midrange which cuts through the mix very well. You could try boosting the midrange a bit.

Is it an active bass? its normally an indication that the battery is going flat. Try changing it it. Of course, if its passive, it wont be that!

I replaced mine with Switchcraft ones, never had a problem after that.

You should find some info on the [url="http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/spectorbassclub/"]Spector Forum[/url]. I've had 2 Spectors and had to change the Jack socket on them both
