2. Edit: sold!
3. Thanks gents, was looking to "share the love" on this pedal, I know what they go for on ebay but I've fallen out of love for that site big time and money isn't everything (is it?!. I picked it up here so thought I'd have a go at flogging here too. I think it's a fair price, if someone has some cash and fancied buying to take a punt on ebay then power to them!
4. EDIT: SOLD For anyone who doesn't know what these amazing pedals do, check out the compancy burb I used this pedal as my preamp and DI for my upright for about a year, it sounds totallly ace but my Streamliner has taken over those duties so she's no longer required. Comes with original instructions and it's black tin (will post photos up later), all in very good condition Looking for £120 posted, will knock a fiver off for collection in person - no trades sorry - payment preferred by bank transfer
5. Oooh, if only it had 5 strings Friday bump for you
6.
+1 Most people don't like to have 'extreme' EQ settings, but with this amp, you really can boost the mids all the way up and it still sounds 'sweet'. Stunning treble control.
+1 for me too, had bass at 11 o'cloc, mids at almost 4 o'clock and treble pretty much at noon last night; my ears defied my eyes as it sounded "eff lush"!
7. Blimey! In my experience and on occasion, half decent kit can make playing easier/more fun/more pleasant/more "je ne sais quoi"... but in terms of my own sound and ability to be heard, that was the most enjoyable rehearsal ever tonight The band were very loud as always but the Streamliner had plenty more to give so didn't need to overly crank the volume up. Even if I do say so myself, my G&L sounded exquisite through it! "Effortless" is probably the best word I can use to describe it Really looking forward to gigging the amp for the first time on Saturday, was told a couple of weeks ago at the same venue that I was way too quiet so will see what the view is this time, I don't think I'll have the same problem, plus I'm feeling very confident about sounding much better too... I was pushing my power amp so hard to be heard I sounded filthy, and not in a good way Very, very happy with my purchase so far, if you're thinking about taking the plunge and buying one, don't hesitate and do it!
8. Yer 'tis - looking forward to cranking her up tonight at rehearsal!
9. Will post up how I get on! The real juicy juicy will be once my Super 12 arrives in exchange for my current Compact, got to get some custom earplugs made up ASAP, my current generic ones aren't up to it and hate that muted feeling after practice or gigs...
10. Oof! Just had a bit of a rip at "spare bedroom levels", very, very loud through my Compact without getting silly on the volume knob Looking forward to having a proper turn up on Thursday at rehearsal but first impressions are excellent, great range of tones with a minimum of fuss = winner!

First Gig

+1 on the nerves, I get more worried if I'm not nervous personally, nerves means you've got your "game head" on Hope you enjoy, even if it's not during the first couple of songs but certainly by song #3 when you'll be warmed up nicely Break a leg, knock 'em dead!
12.
Streamliners are great sounding amps - I found the 600 I tried to be a little lacking in overall headroom and punch compared to my Orange Terror Bass, but I would LOVE to hear how the 900 compares because it sure is a fat, juicy and versatile preamp (I would point out that my experiences were at STUPID volumes in a room I wasn't familiar with so it may have been me!).
Hope so mate! Bought blind on the strength of plenty of good reviews online (and Ed Friedland's vids too!), headroom is why I went for the 900 in the end, not alot of difference in price either...
13. Pushed the button on this yesterday from Bass Direct, just arrived and can't wait to fire her up later!
14.
Thanks fella. You say the XLR includes cab simulation. Do you know if there's any way to switch this off - so if I'm using it to send a signal to the front-of-house desk, it won't conflict with the PA speakers?
+1 for the X3 Live, just started playing around with some dual-amped guitar distortions yesterday! Re the above, just turn off the cabinet in the "amp + cab" section on screen, scroll down a level and it's on the bottom left of the screen, where you can set it to "no cabinet" - the Sub Dub amp model defaults to this option if you want a starting reference point Hope this helps!
15.

Haha! +1 from me albeit was a very long time ago, welcome aboard from another Bristol Bass-tolian!
16. How heavy is the drawer please? Does it have a slam shut mechanism? Cheers!
17. As the title says, I'm available for dep gigs, paid is always good but might be happy with a loss leader if you can sell it to me! I'm a quick learner with a pro attitude and gear (most of it is listed under my signature), have my own transport, am flexible, honest, reliable, personable and enjoy meeting people. I have a few gigs in the diary for this year but am after more, drop me a line if you think I might be able to assist Cheers
18.
I don't think you even need to ask, mate - if you're not going paid, no-one talks to you like that, ever.
Even if I am getting paid, no one talks to me like that!
