11. Evening all, am posting on behalf of a mate of mine... "The Fraser Tilley trio (a 4 piece!) are now looking for a soul and groove bassist who can also throw in some blues shuffles and swing. Originals set with probably 30 mins of covers thrown in (aka Marvin Gaye type grooves). 2 to 3 gigs a month in non pub venues - members clubs, wine bars, brasseries etc. Also corporate/private function/festival gigs. Most gigs within an hour radius of Swindon (unless we get invited back to France this year!!). For more info see here for biogs & demo's (altho' mellow non groove stuff only! - hence there will be a summer visit to the studio!!). Also on Facebook" As Fraser hasn't mentioned it, I would be so bold as to say that age is probably not hugely important, your own gear and transport probably are, plus a good feel and general laid back, soulful grooviness... Bass heaven? I reckon and would love the gig but am too busy with my other bands It's probably best to message Fraser directly via myspace or Facebook although I'm happy to pass on his contact details if you're not inclined to either website, drop me a PM. I would add that Fraser is a great guy and always puts on a good show, I've depped with him myself and had a great night, was at The Rattlebone Inn in Sherston, a lovely boozer! Cheers Ieuan
 12. Very nice playing, free bump on me!

 15.
Bought a Digitech Bass Synth pedal from Ieuan. Boxes? We don't need no stinking boxes. This thing had it's own customised box within a box, surrounded in reams of bubblewrap and tape. Anneka would have been challenged. Top bloke and top service.
Just noticed this post Gareth, made me chuckle! Hope you've managed to get into the parcel by now, perhaps I went a bit overboard?! Have a good weekend mate Ieuan

 18. Hi there, anyone recommend an authorised dealer near Bristol who could service my Markbasss Mini CMD121? Any assistance muchly appreciated!
 19.
Anyone know a good db luthier/tech in north Devon? I want to lower my action a bit, not quite up to re-profiling a bridge myself. Oh as an aside I had fun half hour earlier with the WAV through a Rocktron Vertigo Vibe I picked up cheap on fleabay - trippy! ficelles
Not sure about North Devon but Tom Waghorn is very good in Bristol
 20.
It's a brilliant pedal, I've just got no need for it with the band I'm in at the moment. With the software from the Markbass site it's really easy to configure and you can get some brilliant funky synth sounds. Given I've used it very rarely, and even then it's been in the house, it's in superb condition, it'll even be posted in it's original box. Asking £165 posted. Can post pix if needs be, drop me a PM if you're interested.
Awesome price, wish this had come up a month ago before I bought mine! Good luck with the sale
 21.
Thanks for the Bump mate (previous message) - and thanks all for the interest shown. This has now been sold. Kind regards Freddie
Maybe update the title?
 22.
Im looking for something along the lines of the akai unibass, octave up and 4ths or 5ths harmonies with decent tracking. I wondered if these could do the job? Im after something smallish footprint. Any input or suggestions welcomed. Cheers
Owned a PS5 for a while, was great fun for whammy-esque octave-ups and also the odd dive bomb too! Used it for lazy but really smooth portomento slides, from a semi tone to full octaves (I think you can get more than an octave out of it but not sure) I also used mine in a latch type fashion so depressing the footswitch was like pressing a Floyd-Rose whammy bar and releasing it did the opposite, back to normal. Was useful only when used sparingly as (for the settings I used anyway) if pressed continually it lost alot of bottom end but I'm not sure other settings would have the same issues Tracking was great for what I used it for, hope this helps
