6.
Ukulele's a way under-rated instrument and there's a bit of a Uke Revolution going on at the moment. As it's uses nylon strings, much easier to handle than a guitar and only has the 4 string a lot of kids are playing ukes in schools. That's getting a lot of parents involved as well and groups are springing up across the UK. I play uke for fun (I have a concert and a tenor)I have a and it's great working out songs, transposing them if need be, and then playing them. There's a host of uke stuff on YouTube so well worth a look around. More bass uke!
The uke revolution has been going for years now, not moments - there are a few bands out there actually gigging and making a real fist of it too, including mine!

  12. Hey guys Love my X3 Live but a frustration for me has been losing the clarify of some effects that I put in the effects loop... anyone else have the same trouble? Even better, anyone else got a solution?!? I'm on a hiding to nothing I know as I use the L6 Sub Dub amp model which is pretty deep sounding with next to no top whatsoever, I don't really want to put any effects between my bass and the L6 as I use the volume pedal to blend the effects in and out (eg distortions) as opposed to a straight on and off using the footswitch My old Deep Impact was the exception, cut through a treat but my new Source Audio Bass Distortion and BEF hardly make it through the mix?! I was thinking about setting up a loop like this: Bass to 2 channel loop. L6X3 on one side, an FX chain on the other, back into the power stage of my amp (I just use my amp as a power amp as the EQ is done on the L6). My concern with this is that I may lose the delays/tremolos I use on the L6? Am I thinking too hard about this?! Any help much appreciated Ieuan
  13. Used to have this setup but was too heavy to cart around all the time so went lightweight... kept the X3 Live though! Bass into Line 6 X3 Live into 2U Crown poweramp into Ampeg SVTHLF - was seriously loud and fitted the bill perfectly, still would do if I had it all Used the X3 Live as a DI box live, engineers love it

Thanks for posting Rich - must've been a real toughy mate I can only add to sentiments shared across this thread already Had a couple of brief but enjoyable chats with Si in various threads and we shared a few PM's about bands, bass and the ukulele. All I can say he was a cracking bloke who I'd wished I'd met in person and I offer my deepest sympathies to Ros and all who knew Si personally RIP OldGit
  18.
heres a thought!!!!!!! keep this warwick and swap your bongo for a natural finish stingray 4
Nice thought my friend but I think I'll be buried with this one Fell in love with her more than ever last night, she's sooo good to play and I just keep finding more amazing tones out of the EQ - it's nothing to do with my technique! Keep it rockin'
