1. Now SOLD Pending, Hi, Up for grabs is my Fender CIJ 62 RI lined Fretless bass which I've had for about a year after purchasing it from Linus27. I've really enjoyed it but I think I'm going to take the plunge and try a 5 string fretless (probably a GWB35) so this is now up for sale. I understand that it dates between 2002-2004 with an alder body, vintage reverse tuners and US vintage pickups. Apart from a couple of small marks (see photos) this is in excellent condition. I'll sort out a basic gigbag for it for those that are interested. Price is £400 (+ paypal fees if used) and I'm based nr J13 M25. Really after a straight sale unless anyone has a Ibanez GWB35 that they fancy trading? 2. Just completed a sale with Ash and it a pleasure to do business with you.
3. I got to see him at The Forum, London last Thursday. What a gig. Great playing and what a set list.
4. I think it's more to do with people gauging the cost of a secondhand sale against the 'current' new price. When I bought my original MM Jazz a few years ago and if my memory serves me right, I paid approx. £799 for it new. I then sold it for about £450 (50-60% of the cost of new one). Then I realised the error of my ways and decided it was the only bass that I've ever missed so I bought an Olympic white MM but by then they had gone up to nearly £900.00 new. Now, I see websites listing them new at over £1K. If you apply the 60% rule of thumb for a s/h one then you can see how they are reaching £6-700 used. (I notice that the ebay one for £900 has been listed a few times and was even cloned at one point so not sure about that one) As it happens, it's still my main bass ( I changed the pre-amp to a Bartolini TCT) and for me, I haven't found anything else that has come near it. Cheers, Jim
5. I use it at every gig...purely for the mute and tuning.
6. what a t**t I am. Thanks JBB. I'm sure I clicked that page and nothing came up but it's obviously me. I'll get m'coat.
7. Has anyone seen a proposed schedule/times for Sunday? Nothing on the website. All I know is it starts at 12.00. Cheers, Jim
8. I've bought and visited both of them. They are both located on Industrial Estates so volume is not really an issue. BM is a slightly larger area if that makes any difference. Both offer excellent service and are very welcoming. The only difference I can think of is that BD has a wider range of less well known bass guitar manufacturers whilst BM has the more well known brands covered. If you're going to check out TC then it doesn't matter but none of us can resist a little look at what's on the wall can we? FP
9. Just a reminder that this is still available !
10. The Mex 60's Roadworn Jazz is a nitro finish. I went to get a passive Jazz bass recently with no intention of looking at the Roadworn. Tried an American Vintage and several others but walked out the door with the Roadworn. Nice weight, comfortable neck and very playable. Great bass
11. Love the Quantic Soul O. We use the track Panama City as one of our interval tracks between sets. If you haven't already, also worth checking out Banda Black Rio - Banda Black Rio Nice bass tone here! (P.S. They are also a big inspiration of yours and my favourite - Incognito)
12. BUMP and price drop that is as low as I can go
13. I'm promoting our bands next gig on the Reading Community radio station tomorrow morning on www.reading4u.co.uk.(around 11.15am) The best bit is that I get to choose 3 tracks to play and talk about. Get ready for some Incognito, Curtis and Stevie!
14. PM's replied to. Really looking at Jazz trades ( Roadworn, US, etc) Try me!
15. Now considering trades for this bass. Must be Jazz bass related though. Let me know. Cheers

19. Now back on the market again with a new price.
20. Also worth checking the guys at Chandlers Guitars near Kew Station. Chandlers Music I've had a couple of jobs done there and can't speak highly enough of their service and abilities.

24.
If you are going for a one cab solution, and you want a more 'reinforced' tone, Id try the RS212. Very much the same, but a fatter tone...larger volume.
Thanks. That's exactly what I meant.
