1. Having found myself in the situation where I own two Marcus Miller Jazz Basses, I've decided to put one of them up for sale. So, here is a 4 string Marcus Miller Jazz Bass (crafted in Japan) in Natural Finish. Excellent condition with just two small nicks on the upper edge of the body (see photo). Currently strung with DR medium/light nickel strings and it can be supplied with either a black Fender soft gigbag or a rather fetching Fender tweed soft gigbag...you choose. Price is £SOLD I'm after a straight cash sale (sorry no trades as I'm kind of settled on what I have at the moment) I'm based near J13 M25 and willing to meet up (within reason) if required. Cheers, Jim
2. Bump and price drop to £40.
3. Hi All, Helping out a member of my band with this sale, so any questions and I'll find out the answers and come back to you. They have a Fender Rumble 25 for sale in excellent condition. Here's the info; With features usually found on more expensive amplifiers, Rumble Series combo amps feature carpet covering, oversized plastic corners, metal grilles and the new Fender Bass Amplification logo. Also, their exclusive red "stage light" pulsates with your playing to inspire you to get better faster! With professional tones and features, Rumble Series combos are available in four models affordable for beginning bassists. The ported Rumble 25 Combo has 25 watts of power (at 8 ohms) and a Fender Special Design 10" speaker. Its three-band EQ, passive and active inputs, compression circuitry and effects loop let you zero in on your perfect tone, and there's also a headphone jack and auxiliary input for playing along with a CD player or drum machine They are looking for £50 collected in Reading, Berkshire. Drop me a pm if you're interested and I'll do the relevant introductions. Cheers, Jim
4. Thanks folks. I'll give that a go when it arrives.
5. Hi All, I took a punt on this; Bartolini TCT pre amp ...in the hope that it is in working order so that it will go in my Marcus Miller Jazz! Is there anyway in checking it before its installed? I'm not gifted technically, so I was going to get the job done by a Tech. Also, does anyone know of a good tech that would do the job in the Surrey / W.London area ? Cheers, Jim
6. Ideally I'd like to trade for a 70s Fender. I own a great 78 P-bass so a Jazz would be good........... You'll be after my Warwick next Have a bump on me.
7.
Wow, that DD didn't take long to shift. Out of interest, does the DJ4 have the same neck profile as the DD (skinny back to front)?
Hi John, Neck dimensions are very similar between the two - Very slim. Although there is a big difference in weight with the DJ4 coming in at approx. 8.5lbs compared to the heavier DD. Cheers, Jim
8. So, the Duck Dunn is now sold. The DJ4 is still available though! I've changed the title of the thread to reflect this. Cheers, Jim
9.
Hello Jim. In the unlikely event of this going belly up, could I ask to have 2nd pop at the Duck Dunn please? Similarly, if the new owner doesn't get on with it, could you ask them to let me know? Bump for the Jazz. Cheers, Karl.
Hi Karl, pm sent with an update. Cheers, Jim
10. Just sold Cliff my TU3 tuner and it was completely hassle free with super quick payment. Pleasure to do business with. Cheers, Jim

14.
Isn't that because these were a limited run in this finish and configuration of natural body with black blocks, no binding on the neck - which is unofficially the Adam Clayton model? Is this a Korean or Indonesian made one.
Hi, Thanks for the info. Yes, it is unofficially known as the 'Adam Clayton model' or sometimes the 'AC'. Just checked the headtsock and it states that it was crafted in Indonesia. Cheers, Jim
15. Hi, Newer version of the well known Boss Tuner. Original box and paperwork included. £SOLD including postage within the UK. Cheers, Jim
16. Hi, I purchased this on BC and I've had some fun with it, but it's been sitting at the side waiting for me to pick it up again and basically, I haven't had the time. So, up for grabs is a Kala U Bass in excellent condition with spruce top and matching soft gigbag. The Ukelele bass has been much discussed on this site and others and I can confirm that they are great fun to play with an unbelievable deep sound from such a little thing. (you just need to be prepared to tune it on a regular basis!) Price is £SOLD including gigbag plus delivery or collection can be arranged. I'm near J13 M25. Cheers, Jim
17. Hi, Once again, I've decided to move on any bass that isn't being used for gigs at the moment and therefore, I have my two Lakland basses up for sale. Natural DJ4 Originally purchased from the Bass Emporium in the US (prior to this version being in the UK), this is the Natural wood version of the DJ4. It's the same slim neck and slightly smaller body Jazz as all other DJ4's although for some reason, Lakland never put the Daryll Jones signature on the headstock! The only thing I can find on it is a very, very small mark on the headstock (check photos). There is the option to purchase the Lakland hardcase that I bought with it. Price for the bass is SOLD plus delivery or I'm based near J13 M25. Optional hard case would be £50.00 - Sale now pending Duck Dunn Precision Bass - SOLD I only recently purchased this from BC but as beautiful as it is, it's not for me. Candy Apple Red Precision Bass with matching headstock in excellent condition and currently strung with flats. It will also come with a Lakland soft gigbag. Price for the Duck Dunn is £SOLD plus delivery. Any questions, just drop me a pm. Cheers, Jim
18. After years of using Fender, I bought a '91 Streamer Stage 1 from a BC'er earlier this year.....and wow. Whilst I get a bit of stick from fellow Fender followers (you know who you are ) regarding the styling, it's comfortable, light and very funky. It just feels right for me. FP
19. WOW....that is a beauty. Having played Fender for many years, I bought a '91 SS1 from here and I've been truly converted. Have a bump for an excellent bass in superb condition. FP
20. Just bought a G30 on the strength of this thread after having several challenges with wireless units over the years, I have to say that it's brilliant. I need to upgrade the cable from the batery pack but apart from that, I'm very pleased.
21. Check with Mark at Bass Direct. He ususually has some Dingwalls in stock and he's based in Warwick. www.bassdirect.co.uk. FP
22. Do you play with your fretting hand at a right angle or with the inside of your wrist resting on the body of your bass? If so, you could be putting too much pressure on the 'median nerve' which is commonly known as 'Carpal Tunnel Syndrome' . A known symptom of this is a tingling, numbing sensation in the middle finger. FP
23. Have you checked with Mark at Bass Direct ? He had a few hanging up last time I was in there. Jim
24.
I have been trying to find some new band to listen to in the style of Jamiroquai, Brand new heavies, Steve Wonder or perhaps some Soul Band? Anybody now of any new, up and coming band which are worth a listen? any stuff on you tube? Cheers
if you go to www.incognito.org.uk and then click on the forums, there is a section called 'The Music Room' where people put suggestions for alternative listening in that genre. I've been listening to Moses Mayes recently which I picked up from the site. Also, check out ''Satya Projec't and 'The Beauty Room'. Great albums Cheers, Jim
25. One last BC bump. Any takers ? Cheers, Jim
