11. Hi, Starting to thin out my collection of basses once again, so I'm putting up my 2006 Fender 62RI P Bass up for sale. It's in excellent condition with only a couple of very minor light marks on the body. It will also come with a hard case and with bridge and p/u covers that have never been fitted. It's currently strung with LaBella Flatwounds for that Motown sound. Please note that this is the US version with vintage pickups. Price is firm SOLD+ delivery or I'm based near J13 M25 close to Staines. Cheers, Jim
12. Thanks for all the pm's regarding trades. I'm after a straight sale for this one. Thanks, Jim
13. Hi, I got hold of this as a bit of an experiment but I've decided that there are more suitable basses for me out there and it's too nice toi just sit there. It's a Warwick 2003 Limited Edition Thumb BO otherwise known as the 'Bleached Blonde'. It's in excellent condition and comes with a Warwick Deluxe soft gigbag and the original customer pack (incl. tools, manual -but no beeswax). I can only see a couple of very minor marks on it. It really is a beautiful looking bass with custom neck inlays and it is a light bass. The complete spec can be found here; Warwick 2003 Ltd ED Thumb BO Price is £SOLD + delivery or I'm located near J13 M25 for those that are local. Cheers, Jim
14. Hi, Yes, it's a bass double gig bag. I'll get some pics up tomorrow evening. It's a bit of a lump to post and that's why I was hesitant to suggest posting. Cheers, Jim
15. Hi, I have a boxed Alesis Sr-16 drum machine that has the external PSU, manuals and original box up for grabs. Great little box althoiugh I'm just not using it at the moment. Looking for £50 posted in the UK. Cheers, Jim
16. Hi All, I have a Fender double gig bag up for grabs. The reason that I'm not selling it is because there is a split on the outer material at the bottom corner where the stitching has come away (approx 6 "). Still has all the padding inside and all zips and pockets are working. If anyone is in the J13 M25 Staines area, they are more than welcome to pick it up. Ideal project for anybody that is good with a needle and cotton! Cheers, Jim
17. I'm using a Headlite (with 2 x Berg 12" cabs) and I'm very happy with it. I previously had a Markbass LMK and although there is a noticeable headroom difference between the two, the Headlite is more than sufficient for gigs I play. Anything bigger and I would DI. I agree with BTGAndy in that it's a warmer sounding head (probably due to the tube pre). The physical size of it is just crazy...I've even put it into the front pocket of my gigbag with no problems. Cheers, Jim
18. I must admit that although a great player, I've sometimes struggled to 'connect' with his music in the same way that I have with other players. Saying that, I thought he came across as a fantastic teacher of music and I was really impressed with his approach to playing, his philosophy and his connection with the audience. An excellent evening and an impressive man.
19.
Thanks Jim! Glad to hear your still enjoying that Stage I, never thought i'd sell that one never mind this one too! I must be mad!
That Dingwall must be some bass! The Stage I is an absolute hit. Cheers, Jim
20. Lovely looking bass. Just to say that recently purchased a Stage I from Ben and he is a very decent guy to deal with, so buy with confidence. Have a bump. Jim
21. Two people introduced me to the bass...Mark King and Sting. Once I started to understand bass then it was Marcus Miller (live gigs are amazing and an inspiration) and James Jamerson (Genius). FP
