Hi all, Here is a '62RI Fender Jazz Fretless in 3 tone sunburst in mint condition. It's a CIJ but I believe that they have US Jazz pick ups installed. I've really struggled to find a mark on it as I bought it end 07/early 08 (grey matter can't quite remember) from the Guitar Emporium and I've only ever played it at home and never gigged it. The reality is that it hardly gets a look in at the moment so I've decided to let it go and use the cash for another project. More pictures here; http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_5600.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_5596.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_5597.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_5608.jpg I've struggled to find some other examples on the web for a guide price (the only place I could find is in Tokyo, selling for $900 + import) so I'm pitching it at £450.00. Ideally, I would prefer pick up (I'm based near J13 M25) and I'll find a soft gig bag for it. Cheers, Jim

Hi, I bought it off the Stagg stand at Music Live last year. (may have been £35 thinking about it). Cheers, Jim
-
Hi, I had the same issue so I bought the Stagg EDB stand (about £30 if I remember correctly). Anyway, now I just leave it in there at the start of a gig and play it in the stand. Looks bulky but does the job. Cheers, Jim

Must admit that I'd never have thought of myself as a semi acoustic type of player but that Epiphone is really the business. Great tone through the Markbass although I'm still getting used to the larger, non-cutaway body. Easy on the hat stand

Hi, As per Rob (Shockwave), that yellow round thing in the sky has encouraged me to take a pic of the collection. When buying each bass, I try to force myself to follow these rules; 1. Each bass must be played regularly. 2. Each bass must be significantly different. Anyway, from left to right you have; Musicman '91 2eq Stingray with Birdseye maple neck (Not using it with the band I'm playing in at the moment but a fantastic funky bass) Custom built (by me) Fender Precision ( Main gigging bass - Fender Sting body with a Fender '54 RI P Bass neck) Epiphone Jack Casady Semi Acoustic (Latest addition and what a fantastic bass - I'm using it more and more in the band and it could overtake the P Bass) Stagg EDB (Great value bass and good fun to play - always gets attention for tone and looks when I use it live) Fender 06 CIJ Jazz Fretless (The least used of the lot but I just feel that I might need it one day. The amp head is a Markbass LMK and the cabs are 2 x 12" Bergantino. Cheers, Jim (Edit) Just noticed the watering can with the Buddha's head popping out of the top in the background - these are not part of the collection

Hi Rob, That's a nice looking collection. Inspired me to go and take a few pics of mine. Loving that S2 finish. 5 strings are not for me but that looks great. Cheers, Jim

Hi All, I've got my eye on a bass which will suit the band that I'm playing in so I need to make some room (and raise some cash). Therefore, up for grabs is the following; Jaydee Roadie II - SOLD This was originally a Roadie I which according to John Diggins, was made for a shop in the Netherlands in 1987. I found it in Wunjo's in London looking rather sorry for itself with a small lump taken out of the body and a smaller one out of the neck. I took it to JD who serviced it last year, filled the body and neck (see photos),dressed the frets, installed active electronics and a new neck pick up to turn it into a Roadie II. There is some wear and tear on the body (which I've tried to capture in the photos) but I suppose it is 22 years old! The only issue with it now is a small screw missing from the truss rod cover. There's no case so I'd rather not post but open for discussion on delivery/collection (I'm near J13 M25). As for price, I'm not sure where to suggest for this, so I'm open to sensible offers. Photos are here; http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_4943.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_4944.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_5404.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_5403.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_5406.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_5408.jpg Aria AMB50 Acoustic 4 string Bass - SOLD Bought from new in 2007, never gigged and only the very smallest of marks on the moulded fibre back, this is a great pick up and play bass. In good condition and comes with a soft case. £100. Again, ideally collection or local delivery can be agreed. Photos are here; http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_5414.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_5413.jpg Cheers, Jim

Took mine down to the local music shop and they replaced the jack input on the Stagg. Job Done. Apparently he said that he had done a couple of these and since then, its been fine. Cheers, Jim

Top Bloke is Rob. Sold him my Telebass (probably a world record for quickest sale!) and the deal was straightforward and effortless. Cheers, Jim

Hi All, As part of the process of getting my ideal P bass (I ended up assembling my own) , I have a mint condition '51 Re Issue Precision Bass which I purchased from GAK towards the end of last year. My mistake really, but it's no good just sitting there. For those not familiar, it's a re-issue of the Telebass in 2 tone sunburst. It really is in 'as new' with no marks on it at all. It comes with a soft Fender gigbag and original documents, tags and allen keys (see photos) I'm based near J13 M25 and would really prefer not to post if possible. I paid about £500 for it at the time and I'm open to sensible offers. Cheers, Jim http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_5215.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_5212.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_5213.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_5214.jpg

Anyone digging the early ninties UK jazz/funk/soul??
Floyd Pepper replied to bubinga5's topic in General Discussion
Out of them all, I think Incognito rein supreme. Fantastic band live and they always deliver every time I see them (which has been quite a few times). Their last album (Tales from the Beach) is a cracker. A couple of spin offs worthy of a listen are the Satya Project album 'Shine a Light' and the Inner Shade album '4 Corners'. Cheers, Jim -
Hi Nigel, I had a very similiar problem on my Stagg. The jack socket never made a good connection and it either cut out , popped or provided a hum. I took mine back to the shop where I bought it (the joy of buying from a shop and not the internet) and he quickly replaced the jack socket and it's been fine ever since. Cheers, Jim
These are the exact cabs I'm after. I'm in the process of trying to sell some of my own gear at the moment. Hope you've still got them by the time I have the money. Have a bump.
I have a few people interested at the moment but no confirmed sale so best of luck with your sale and drop me a line as soon as you know. Cheers, Jim

Hi Neil, From the photo. it looks like the 'ray you tried had a birdseye maple neck on it. I have one which I believe dates to early '90's (1991 I think). I'm not sure how long these were made for. Here's a piccie of mine just to confirm. Cheers, Jim http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...riganddevil.jpg

Hi All, Well I used the Stagg EDB stand last night for a gig and it worked a treat. I was able to leave it standing there, moved from my electric to the stagg during the set and even played it without removing it from the stand and it was fine. Personally, I had tried the cymbal stand/hercules stand combo, but I had much more confidence in the Stagg stand. £35 well spent, IMHO. Cheers, Jim
