Ah, I've just seen the 15 doesn't fit. Well, I might be interested in the 2x10. I'll have a think.
Hi Mike, Yep, the're great cabs, it's just that my circumstances have changed so I'm looking at moving them on. I'm actually using a LMK head at the moment, (which I'm keeping). Let me know. Cheers, Jim

Hi All, I'm thinking of a change so I have two Markbass cabs available. They are the ultra lightweight Traveler 102P (2 x 10) and the Traveler 151P (1 x 15). Both cabs are 8ohms. Although the cabs have served me well in pub/club gigs, I have looked after them and there is hardly any marks on them and the covering is fully intact, so these cabs are in excellent condition. I would rather sell them as a pair but would be prepared to split and would strongly prefer collection.(I'm prepared to meet halfway for a reasonable distance. I'm based near to J13 M25). Photos of the cabs are here: (Please note, the basses and the Markbass Head in some of the photos are not for sale!) I'm not after trades and would prefer bank t/f or cash. If you would like to pay by Paypal, please let me know first as the fees as now quite high. Any questions, just ask. Cheers, Jim

I also noticed them at Music Live and also a new stand! The Stagg guy told me that they have them in stock for £35.00 which seems a decent price for a fairly substantial stand. I played around with it as well and personally, after a little work, I reckon I could play it in the stand, which beats using the extensions!

Well just in case anyone is in two minds about buying/trying a Stagg EUB, I would class myself as an 'intermediate' player who picked up the bass at a late stage. I then couldn't resist getting a Stagg EUB and love every minute of it so far. It's opened my ears to a whole new world. Do it, you won't regret it! FP

Just got back from seeing Mr. King tonight and I know he gets some stick from some quarters here but I thought that he was absolutely on it tonight. Looked like he had got some of the enthusiasm back and produced some very funky bass lines. Cheers, FP

Well....after a mix up at Stagg, I've just heard that my new EDB has arrived at the shop and will be in my hands by tomorrow afternoon. A very excited Floyd P!

Hi Wooks, Just like you, the discussions on the Stagg threads have done it for me and I've just ordered one from a small shop.(Honey finish if you're keeping check Linus:)). I decided to get it from a small shop and although it's £360, I can have it in a week, the shop will set it up for me and I feel like I'm supporting the good old music shop! (+ no delivery costs) Anyway, my point was that I saw a guy playing an EUB the other day while he was perched on a double bass stick/seat. It reminded me of one of those hunting sticks that open out to form a little seat. He could adjust the height and he also gave the impression he was standing with the band but at the same time, he was able to take the pressure of his legs. Might be something to consider? Cheers, Jim

There's also Stu Clayton's book on 'nard, I'm sure it's got the tab for it in there...plus others. FP -
Here's my '91 2eq Stingray with birdseye maple neck and bridge mutes...plays as good as it looks. FP

Well here's my set up...plus the 'Ray. FP

That's the one except it also has the chrome pick up cover and bridge ashtray. Our guitarist has let me bring it home so that I can make sure but I think my mind's already made up and it will be taking its rightful place in my home.Still not letting the 'ray go though. If anything it may be the MMiller Jazz that I have to wave goodbye to...I so much wanted that to do the same but I've just never quite got on with it. Cheers, FP

Has anyone else had that moment when they pick up a different bass and everything just feels right? With all my basses. it's taken a while to get really comfortable. At last nights rehearsal, our guitarist brought along his Fender P Bass and after a couple of numbers I decided to put down my 'ray and give it a go. Everything about this bass just felt right instantly The feel, weight, tone, neck, strings, finger positions....everything! (The colour is a bit of a 'marmite' (love it/hate it) style with blue/pink flowers though) Regardless, it was instant mojo, instant GAS. Cheers, FP

Now sold to a very pleasant bass chatter! Hi, After a bit of soul searching (it was my first decent bass), I've decided to put my MM Stingray up for sale. According to the EB Forum, this was made in May 2001 (4th to be precise!) I had it set up at the Bass Gallery when I bought it and it plays superbly. It's a 3EQ version with black body and maple neck. It's in excellent condition with only a very small nick on the body ( just on the back below the battery compartment - see photos). There are also a couple very small marks on the top of the headstock. M25). No trades unless you can tempt me with Jaydee ! cheers, Jim

I've had my natural MM Jazz for about a year now but it still isn't my default bass. After having played Stingrays for the most, I always seem to struggle with the body size and weight. Don't get me wrong, I love the sound but it just doesn't feel right when playing. I guess thats the enjoyment of trying different things out. Actually I've just managed to get a used Jaydee and I'm absolutely loving that so it might be that the MM goes further down the pecking order. Cheers, J

Great album and great bass playing. FWIW, Francis plays (and co-writes a number of the tracks) on the new album but Julian Crampton makes an appearance on the title track at the end of the album which is a short bass led instrumental! Cheers, J

Hi All, Now I've got my Fender Jazz fretless, I've hardly been using this so it's up for sale. It's a wine red sunburst Yamaha BB1600 Fretless which the previous owner replaced with Bartolini pickups. (I've also got the original ones as well) I'm not sure of it's exact year of manufacture but I think the previous owner said it was 1984' ish. As you can see, it was originally purchased from the Basscentre in London. I would say that the condition of the bass is good and in the photos, I've tried to capture the light buckle rash on the back of the body and small ding on the front. There is also a small ding on the underside of the body. (It could probably do with a new set of strings aswell!) It doesn't look like there are that many of these around as I've been trying to find a suitable price for it without much luck. I paid approx. £350 for it when I bought it but I'm open to offers. It also comes with a hard case ( which has seen a bit of action but works). Cheers, Jim http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_4886.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_4887.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_4888.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_4889.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_4890.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_4891.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_4892.jpg http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o294/fl...os/DSC_4893.jpg
