1. I've tried chasing the elusive YOB bass for a while and keep finding them lacking - this one looks nice enough to consider the journey to find out...
2. I was wondering why on earth some newbie had been getting so much attention in his introduction thread, and why for days I kept seeing it in "new content". Bit like how I used to be in a band with Justin Hawkins (yes, that one) but didnt realise it was him in The Darkness until about a year into their massive rise to fame with that first album I don't own. Admitedly he used to have awesome dreadlocks which sort of threw me off the scent. I never got round to putting that story in the tenuous link to fame thread. So poor old Guy didnt stand much of a chance eh. Welcome
3. I like this - I like the HH setup, the weight is nice and low and to top it off I'm sure from the photos thats a one piece body? My 'ray days are over but this should be sold already...
4.
But they link together leaving 2 loose fluffy ends, still puzzled!
1 for each "arm" of the neck support. http://www.sadowsky.com/store/nitroguard-neck.html Doubt me not
5. To protect your nitro neck whilst on a guitar stand - am I back in your good books?
6. Andy, my recent bass was sent Monday, arrived Wednesday. No import bill yet - but I can guarantee it will come. Thats why its clears so quickly as fedex declare it all and pay the bill for you. Congrats by the way
7. As I still can't persuade Gareth to let go of my original TF (yet)...a new project on the side definitely needed something different
8. Race you! Lets hope they both arrive safe and sound. More from me later, now going to sleep for the day
9. 05:01 At local FedEx facility Never seen the system work so fast...
10. I thought I'd drag it out a bit, savour the flavour. If all goes well there might even be pics tomorrow
11. Hmmm, pity if it goes this way.
12. Don't you just love seeing those words.
13. Bah, cant resist as I've been curious about these little things for a while but they rarely come up - PM'd

15. I don't want to upset any SG lovers as I'm a fan of the look, but my god...the ergonomics are unbearable to me. I was very dissapointed with the sound on a newer model as well. Mustangs however, I've played and owned a few and they are a great shortscale. Simple to use and very comfy - although I prefer the genuine 70's ones as they dont have a slab body like the new reissues.
16. I was watching this on ebay but forgot to bid - it went for roughly £1500 so I was kicking myself
17. Hi matey, yea I saw that Nick had finally taken the plunge. Good man! First time I've bothered trying to post something whilst on my phone and I see I've got it a bit awry...
18. I just couldn't resist the flat white light caused by all the snow outside!
19. A set of medium scale chromes will string thru bridge for a nice fit on a mustang. Not sure if the tension would be as much as you would like though? Tension is listed on their website here: http://www.daddario.com/DADProductDetail.Page?ActiveID=3769&ProductId=175&productname=ECB81M_Chromes_Bass__Light__45_100__Medium_Scale&sid=b85f7a10-1f49-4c16-ad10-2a7561653a96 Got a set from my old mustang somewhere if you want them for £12.
20. You sound like you already have the answers - practicing a lighter touch will help a lot. A higher string gauge will help as the inevitable increase in mass will absorb a lot of your input. Flatwounds generally fit this category, and you can get some pretty large, high tension sets (think labella jamesons for example) If you want rounds though I'm not the person to ask I'm afraid... EDIT: a quick glance at talkbass suggests D'addario pro steels are worth a look.
21. Ditto. Love the sound of jazz basses, but just don't find the body shape comfortable - and each time this comes up I get very curious about it. Unfortunately the builders are literally turning up in 2 days time and thats going to last 3 months and cost me a small fortune. So I must resist
22. All sold now, I'd edit the post but seeing as we have IE 6 at work I can't do anything much.
23.
I'll take the 40's off your hands, ive never tried flats so seems like a cost effective way of doing it, pm me your details.
PM'd
24. Both sets cut for a 4 in line fender style bass, with minimal use. No silks on these so regardless of how much you swap them about them dont get tatty, which is handy. I like these strings, but have got far too many sets of strings laying around! [s]1 set 40/60/75/95 - £11 posted[/s] SOLD [s]1 set 50/70/85/105 - £11 posted[/s] SOLD
