  1. I'll investigate, and get back to you with a Full Report. Just send me 29 Euros for your copy. ... ... No, these things are... well, not exactly a 'scam' as such; they're just a way of milking 49 Euros out of anyone willing to send the money. It's perfectly possible that they do, indeed, chuck out a host of bilge-worthy promotion material over the InterWeb, but the added value of any stuff they may (or may not...) put out is a big, fat zero. 'Bin any messages from folks like this' is my recommendation. ... That's be 12s 6d, please. I accept postal orders.

    Hello

Good evening, Newwiekins , my condolences and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  3. Not at all..! They're all tuned to resonate in sympathy, and gives a 'signature' sound to the mic'ed recordings (sadly missing from the DI sessions without a Room Mic...). ...
  4. Good evening, MM, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  5. It could be due to currency fluctuations.
  6. Good evening, Bernie, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  7. Good evening, Andy, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  8. I saw them at some strange 'underground' club/festival. Enjoyed it, but understood little of what was going on. Fine times.
  9. They look to be well made; what was spilt on them, though..? It might polish out with T-Cut. ...
  10. I've a modest Alesis kit (Nitro Mesh...) which I use to trigger a modest laptop, loaded with Superior Drummer 3. A great sound, and fun to play. The important things to look for..? Cymbals don't react like metal ones, so one has to adjust one's style, and the hi-hat, too, has a very different feel. It won't replace my Camco kit, but it's darned good. The whole thing (s/h kit, refurb laptop, software etc...) comes to around £1000. Good cymbals start at £200 or so, alone, so it's good value, I reckon. Yes, there's better stuff, but my Vst drums would be hard to beat for sound quality.
  11. ... and it becomes the Seller's turn to be wary. If the goods are sold, then there's a claim made by the Buyer, the Seller looses out almost every time. It's a bit 'Catch 22', these days.
  12. We don't 'hear' an earthquake, but its effects are often spectacular.
  13. If I knew what that was, I suspect I'd be giving it a miss. And 'No, I don't want a link', thanks all the same. Back to Mahler for me, I'm afraid.
  14. Better there than stains on ... No, on second thoughts.
  15. Yes, one can have too much of a Good Thing. Special mention, however, for the original use of the Mattress Bedsprings in the background. Little used these day; I wonder why..?
  16. So... Thanks for the 'ear-worm'. ...
  17. Assuming it's a 'third generation' model (if not, you don't need Control...), download here, with no hassle... Focusrite Solo Control... Hope this helps.
  18. Good afternoon, Marvin, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share. (Careful; we already have an active 'Marvin', who has a brain the size as a planet..! )
