  1. Good afternoon, O-I, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  2. Good morning, Bob, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  3. But do we all see colours the same..? How would one know..? I see trees as green (mostly...), and the sky blue. Maybe, for others, the trees look like, what to me would be, 'red', and the sky, my 'green'. I can't think of a way of proving that, one way or another.
  4. I wouldn't worry about it, it's just a joke of sorts. On the back of the amp, Warwick have written the details, using the font (police, typeface, character set...) 'Comic Sans'. There's nothing wrong with that; it's just lightweight humour making fun of having chosen that font instead of the more 'formal', 'serious', 'severe' fonts usually seen on equipment. It's no reflection on the qualities of the amp, nor of your ad; just 'British humour', that's all. Chuckle and move on, I'd say. Good Luck With The Sale.
  5. I wouldn't expect to find much, if anything, in Imperial dimensions coming from Japan. I'd place a pretty fair bet on metric.
  6. I only use Vst stuff, so no physical presets (my stuff is old school...), but the presets with the drum kits I use are excellent. Yes, I 'tweak' 'em, and compose my own, but they're useful when a synth comes with fourteen billion of 'em to scroll through the list, before ignoring all of 'em and making my own stuff. So... Love 'em..? Not really..? Hate 'em..? Certainly not. Mostly they're 'Meh', but there are some good'uns, too. I'm glad they exist (for Vst's, at least...).

    Hi

Good afternoon, Albs, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  10. That's just under 14 per hole; not too bad for a first time round a course as a beginner. Few people start their careers with 'holes in one'. It might be worth persisting, and getting a couple of lessons..!
  11. Mmm... Tea..! (Oh, 'Tease'..! Sorry...)
  12. Good evening, Laurent, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  13. If this is the launch, maybe I'll invite myself..!
  14. My folks were rather Puritan in their approach to 'enjoyment' and such, and so disapproved (passively...) to any music. I think they'd tried to see what it was all about at some point, as we had a radiogram, with a 'My Fair Lady' and a 'South Pacific' disk, and another by Kathleen Ferrier, whom my mother liked for having died tragically young, rather than her (undeniable...) musical talent. My father (or was it Santa Claus..?) did get me a reel-to-reel tape recorder (Robuk...) one Christmas, which enabled me to play continuous and diverse music through the night whilst I slept. At no point, ever, in my various musical ventures, did my parents show any interest nor appreciation, certainly not by attending any of my performances. My father did, however, lend me the cash I needed to get my first 'real' drums (the Camco kit I've played ever since...), and I helped him make the beech and ply flight cases for the kit; needed when I moved to France. So... Little, or no encouragement, but little or no obstruction. They disapproved my path, but allowed me, grudgingly, to tread it. A fair enough deal, maybe, all things considered.
  15. It's a Fostex 460, which has Dolby B & C; Dolby C would be used when recording hi-speed (3.75...) multi-track stuff.
  16. STOP EVERYTHING..! NOW..! PLEASE..! Get this working with any old duff cassette FIRST, before even considering playing one of the four-track tapes. If it's going to 'eat' tapes, better that it be a duff one..! OK, it doesn't have to be a duff tape, just not one of the precious ones. An ornery stereo tape will do, just to get the transport sorted. Only play your 'good' tapes once it's sorted.
  17. Sorry; far too soporific for my old bones. Are you sure the tape wasn't running at half speed..? Too slow for me to dance to (and I don't dance...). Good production, but not (at all...) my style. Thanks for sharing.
  18. Offers and trade propositions posted in 'For Sale' ads are systematically deleted. They are to be made by Private Message (PM...) only. Thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
