I added a comment to the CD order requesting that they play a few dates in France, Lower Normandy..! I'd go and see that, with great pleasure.

Now there's an idea for the Forum..! How about a topic where each of our bands receive requests for tee-shirts and other memorabilia and send the desired objects out..? It would get the band's name out to a wider audience, allow each of us to support (and show support...) for fellow BC members, at the same time bringing a (OK, very small...) revenue stream to the bands offering their wares..! @ped: Interested, God Ped..?

How are you with back-handed compliments..? I'm not a fan of riff-based heavy metal 'grinding' stuff, so take it as meaning that you're very close to the authentic sound if I state that I'd definitely switch stations if this came up on the car radio. I got my dose 'back in the day', with friends' record collections, John Peel shows, and divers clubs and festivals, and have no wish to be reminded of those prehistoric moments. Well done, then, on being true to one of the genres that I prefer the least. Excellent recording quality, excellent execution, mandatory incomprehensible lyrics squirted out in fine fashion; what's there to like..? Wishing you every success with your chosen path, hoping that it doesn't cross mine. There..! I hope the flattering aspect of this comes across; you're doing what you do very well indeed; so well that I wouldn't listen to it for more than a few long (oh, so long...) seconds. Well done. (And 'Yes, I'm old' ...)

From Steve Russell's Hofner site ... '... For the first year or so, the guitar was finished in "russet-mahogany", but this then changed to the brighter "Cherry Red" finish that is synonymous with the Verithin. Some of the very last guitars were finished in brown/yellow sunburst...'

If 'friends' includes 'family', it's been 5400 with our lot since formation. There have been a few changes in membership over the decades, but the formula has always been this way. Just lucky, I guess, or we're all easy-going, maybe. Band politics..? Nah, life's (far...) too short.

Not at all, it concerns those that 'upgrade' cheap guitars, making 'em cheaper still, but more expensive, that's all. ... Oh, and no bagpipes, neither.
