  1. Not quite right; the demo version is free, but mutes after ten minutes. Just sayin'.
  2. For those that like funk, this ^^ (previous post...) is Good Stuff, worth looking into.
  3. Every track, yes, but in totality..? 'Fraid not, old son. Enough to appreciate the inherent quality, though; it's almost good enough to have one regret not 'digging' funk..! (I am a superstar in other respects, of course, but that should go without saying, shouldn't it..? )
  4. Assuming funds were available..? The amp/cab part would be easy enough, as there's a very nice Laney Nexus rig for sale at the present moment in these very pages, so that would be snapped up in a shot, to replace my Hiwatt 200w head and HH 2 x 15 cab. A bass would be more difficult, as there are no longer that many Hofner Verithin basses around, certainly not in as good condition as is mine. I'd be patient, although, in the meantime, I'd get by with a gold-top Jack Casady from Epiphone. The Verithin is much lighter, though, and at my age... Pedals..? Nah, I plug directly into the head, s'all. Did I mention I was 'old school'..? No..? Hmm, how odd...
  5. Maybe post this in the 'Funk' topic..? I'll admit that it's not my 'bag', as a genre, but, in that genre, I'd also have to say that it doesn't come much better than this. Tight, 'funky' playing, competent arrangements, superb production... What's not to like..? Well done, all involved; it's a cracker (if one is 'into' this style, naturally...). Good Stuff.
  6. So... (see above ^^...) No 'software glitch', just a numpty nodding off, again..!
  7. Just send him your credit card if you're that desperate.
  8. If it would help any of you, a quick PM to Ped asking to be self-banned from the Marketplace would work, I reckon (or would that be cheating..?). Just sayin'.
  9. Good afternoon, Billy , and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  10. I'd have to admit to being as 'glass-backed' as they come, and even older than that (dunno about the 'geezer' bit, but still...); I'd still be highly interested in this ensemble, but for 1 - already having several valve amps, 2 - not having any spare cash at all for now, 3 - living on a different part of our common tectonic plate and 4 - being a drummer (..!). I'd echo the surprise above about this not having been snapped up; this amp has not 1, not 2, not 4, but 8 (yes, eight..!) KT88 valves, which are without question, the valves for a bass amp. I have a Hiwatt DR205 (200w PA head...) for bass, which has four of these valves, and is clean up to the heavens, even at stadium/festival volumes; this Nexus has more potential (is that even possibles..?), plus the full set of bass-purpose controls to dial in grit if needed, and all mod cons for going to FOH or recording console. The pricing is keen; very keen. If it's still here when I get my lottery win (which I doubt; I've yet to buy a ticket...), I'll be over in a jiffy with my estate car to load it up (I'd need some help with that, of course, being even older than that, and glass-backed...). Meanwhile, have a bump, and good luck with the sale.
  11. And the winner is... Lurksalot..! Here, then, is your Winner's Certificate (download and save as pdf file, then proudly print and frame...) ... BC_Chal_Cert_2018_09.pdf ... which looks like this (but bigger, of course..!)...
  12. Good afternoon, Sam , and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  13. I don't see this proposed as a solution very often; is there a good reason ..?
  14. Sad stuff. It's standard practice to remove valves, and pack them separately. They could still get broken, of course, but it takes quite a bit more willpower. Too late for this one, but might help someone else another time..?
  15. I gave up halfway through, so maybe missed the Good Bits. Bland, fake Steely Dan soft sell for lift shafts for me; sorry.
  16. Yes, I saw that (although it was a much more modern device than that in the picture above..!). The power of nostalgia, eh..?
  17. Mr Edison ruing the day he ever invented recordings, having thought through the nightmare jungle that would ensue ...
  18. If you're prepared to pay the Price, why not..?Just say the Word and we'll be over with the parchments, quill and ceremonial dagger. How are you fixed for black goats, or should we bring those, too..?
  19. Not available as a Vst, yet; it's hardware, from The Boss...
  20. Whilst probably true ^^ , it's also true that it brings happiness, solace and even a reason to live to many honest folks, so, even if they are 'fooling themselves', it's not much of a laff to kick the crutch away from a limping man. Is it harmful, is really the issue. Some extreme forms may be, if ingested, but, as a whole, there is benefit in there, even if only a 'name'. Just sayin'.
  21. You bought your metronome in a saddlery shop..?
