  1. Depends how tired your leg gets... It does fold away, so is not too intrusive, and would be easily removed in any case. Still, maybe it's not for you, eh..?
  2. Oh, come now, Blue; surely you're not that dumb..?
  3. There's the deal-breaker for me; tutus don't suit me any more.
  4. The OP states cabs sold, and head withdrawn, so... belayed closure.
  5. I'd be interested in this (yes, I'm a Hofner fan; I've several, and these are pretty good instruments, too...). Slight snag: the fellow doesn't seem to offer posting to France. In the (unlikely...) event of my winning this, would anyone care to pick it up for me and post it on..? It's in Warrington. Any candidates..?
  6. Why does that not surprise me..?
  7. Close your eyes and they sound like an 8x10 cab..!
  8. Bolt-on or Through-neck..?
  9. Beep Beep, 'n Beep Beep, Yeah..!
  10. The drummer knows his onions, too. Good Stuff, once again proving that there is (or can be ...) humour in jazz.
  11. Not even his solo spot..?
  12. No, I've not one of these basses, but from the photos I see on t'web, I'd think it even more odd to have one's arm rested there, whilst playing, at least..! It's in the inside curve of the lower bout, and so quite protected, unless one uses the bass body as an arm-rest, and even then... You're very experienced in acoustic basses (far more than I, that's for sure..!); from what I see in your previously-posted videos (I'm watching 'In My Life' again right now, with much pleasure...), there'd be no problem. Hope this helps (but doubt it...). Also glad to see you're considering an acquisition; I'll assume things are looking up for you..?
  13. Daisy Rock instruments were originally targeted to the girl players, I believe, with their sub-title of 'The Girl Guitar Company'. They are (or can be...) excellent; I have owned a Retro-H twelve-string guitar for many years which is as fine a guitar as I need. Just sayin'.
  14. Ah..! My initiation, back in the day, to real music. Thanks for the memories (and to Andrew Yeaman, whose disk it was...).
  15. Good Stuff; I enjoyed that. Thanks for posting.
  16. 'Quarter-sawn' refers to the way the original tree-trunk was cut, best illustrated with pictures... Wikipedia ... The resulting wood behaves differently from a warp point of view. Quarter-sawn would normally have less warping or twisting tendencies, in general. Hope this helps.
  17. That problem is solved. Introducing the Quorn Tuna ...
  18. Discreet, but important, the claves in this dEUS track (part of our repertoire, and great fun to play...)...
  19. Spring-loaded, or will it fall off..?
  20. Excellent production all round, given the style. I'm no longer (if ever I was...) a 'jump around' head banger, and only found out what a 'mosh pit' was by reading posts on this forum, but this fits in well with that rowdy, having fun with energy, cult. From the short extracts, I'd choose 'We are at war' as being (slightly...) more in line with what I listen to generally, but all the rest gives generously a fine feeling of exaltation and exuberance. No further comments on the ethereal vocals, trying hard to hide behind the wall of sound, and succeeding. It's as good a 'hook' as any other, I suppose. Taking all into consideration, then, I give this a massive 'thumbs up', and wish the project well. Must be great, 'live'; I'd pay to go to see that, as long as there is seating, preferably not too far from the FOH console with a good view. No, I'll not be joining them in the mosh pit , but they'll be enjoying themselves, for sure.
  21. For the sound itself, yes, but also the choice of notes. Use the lower register (E2 up to E3 on the 'piano roll', for instance...), for the fundamental bass tones, and the higher registers for melodic runs or such. What kind (style...) of music are you wanting to produce..?
  22. Oh no..! Not another log in trouble..?
