  1. Goodness me, but it's getting so hard to choose between the works, month after month. The quality shown here is formidable, such variety of interpretation and execution. Between half-comic, semi-literal, entirely atmospheric, or musical puns, how to compare..? I'd be tempted to award winner's certificates to all who entered a piece; there's nothing here that doesn't deserve one. It makes me somewhat afraid of continuing to listen to 'em all each month; they're getting so good, I can't favour one over another..! Astonishing Stuff, y'all.
  2. Fixed. ... and ... Sack him and get someone better. Nobody needs to put up with that.
  3. When all done here (but take your time; the pieces are worth it...), you may be interested in voting for the Basschat 2018 Photo Competition, to be found here ... Basschat 2018 Photo Competition, June ... The theme, chosen by Hellzero, was 'The photo you like the most because of the story behind.' Give 'em all a good look; choose the three that best represent the theme, in your view. Thanks in advance
  4. I can see your point, up to a point, but, to me, a JC Epiphone bass is not buying into his mojo, it's simply a wonderful bass (on my bucket list...). It's not the signature that makes it great. If there was an unsigned version, it would be just as good. There's no equivalent, though, with that particular specification (hollow body, low-z pick-up, long scale...). The only real JC connection would be, for me, that without his having played one, I'd maybe never have heard of 'em.
  5. Ha..! That'll suit me fine next year; I'll be 69..!
  6. So when I become famous playing a Jack Casady bass, and get a 'signature' bass of it, Jack will doubtless hear of it and adopt my signature bass (well, he would, wouldn't he..! ). He might then be offered his newer signature bass, based on his version of my version of his version of the Les Paul bass. I may well be tempted to use such a bass, and have a 'signature' offered, and the whole thing keeps going...
  7. This kind of thought can lead to some strange places. It's now common for children to bear the surnames of both their father and mother (a double-barrelled name...). If such a child, when grown up, then marries another with such a name, do their children bear four-barrelled names..? And if their children then grow up and marry... etc. I'd not pursue the issue too far, if I were you; that way, madness lies.
  8. Who said 'Half-pint'..? Come on, own up... You're not leaving until the culprit is found. I don't mind; I've got all the time in the world... ... ...
  9. I'll be ordering one of these tomorrow (hang the expense..!) if this is what is delivered..!
  10. Good afternoon, Keith, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  11. Sorry, we're fresh out. We've plenty of scatology, though; will that do..?
  12. Sorry, but it's not possible. It's locked by the System at the creation of the topic. Current price can be noted in the title, as you have done, or in future posts, but the System price is cast in stone. Good luck with the sale.
  13. No, it's a crosscable that's required... ...the crosscable pins 2 and 3 at the male plug are changed to 3 and 2 of the female plug, which results in a phase switching at the second channel... That is correct.
  14. Mis-typed, maybe..? Should read 'Low Fuzz'.
  15. Good afternoon, Greg , and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  16. From the manual... Having no binding posts, a suitable-cabled 'bridge-mode' Speakon cable would have to be used with this model. Hope this helps.
  17. @razze06: The 'headline price' cannot be changed; it's locked by the System, but you could edit the title of the topic and put the current price there. While I'm here, may I suggest that you add some indication of your whereabouts (edit your Profile and fill in 'Location', and/or mention it in the opening post..?). That might inspire interest, too. Hope this helps; good luck with the sale.
  18. Here is my contribution to the June 2018 Basschat Composition Challenge, inspired by a picture chosen by last month's winner: Mornats. Not a good month for me; there are only strained, tenuous links to the picture (the 9/8 rhythm and the virtual 'cats'...). All Kontakt stuff: a 60's drum kit, a nice nylon guitar and some Blue 'singing', created in Reaper with minimal treatment, and mastered with AAMS, 'Country' preset. Modest; it is what it is. Thanks for listening, if you already have; if you're about to, enjoy.
  19. Good evening, Radchenko... There'll be more chance of interest in this if you could give your location, and a photo or two of the amp. Just sayin'; good luck with the sale. Douglas
