    Hello

Good morning, Genséric, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share. 'Thank's..?' An apostrophe too far, I'm afraid; beware the Grammar Police..!
  2. This one will get you started, for free (it's not bad at all...) MT Power Drum Kit Vst ... ... until you've saved up enough for Superior Drummer 3, which is excellent, but costs more (just under £300...). There are many others, of course, but you'd need to specify your project needs to go into more detail. Hope this helps.
  3. More Brook brilliance from the House of Jessop. Thanks for sharing; a real nugget of treasure on this forum. (I like the X/Y micing, too; class all the way ...)
  4. A speaker cab laid on its front, preferably on carpet, can allow a valve amp to be 'cranked' without 'bleeding ears syndrome'.
  5. Offers and trade propositions posted in 'For Sale' ads are systematically deleted. They are to be made by Private Message (PM...) only. Thanks in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
  6. Not questioning any of their musical abilities; I saw all of 'em many times 'back then'. It's the 'show' that got many (most..?) of 'em renown, fame and 'fortune', though. If they'd been even less than average players, their pictures would still have made the papers, I reckon.
  7. ... or Hawkwind, or The Pink Fairies, or Nice (well, at least they could play, I suppose...) or Gryphon (who definitely could play...) or T-Rex... The list is long...
  8. ... and these were all green fields.

  10. I'm disappointed. I was expecting a topic about new sources for band transport hire... (... and that young lad will hurt his voice if he carries on doing that for long ...)
  11. Get me a medium jar of Ovaltine while you're out, please..?
  12. Yes, T-cut to restore the lustre, then Dr Duck's Ax Wax, to keep it in good nick.
  13. ... and you're 'available' any week-end or weekday, for the next few years. Am I wrong..?
  14. Or Beecham"s Powders.
  15. Hot lemon and honey, Beecham's Powders optional.
  16. I think felt would be more to my liking, thank you just the same.
  17. Audience..? What is this 'audience' of which you speak..? (Don't forget, we play for free. How could we be expected to have an 'audience' ..?)
  18. Too late; that ship sailed long ago...
  19. What, spinning plates on sticks on a slack-rope whilst thumping out AC/DC..? Maybe we should try that.
  20. To restore faded paintwork... https://www.amazon.co.uk/T-Cut-Original-Colour-Restorer-500ml/dp/B001CIZ3FQ
  21. Rose-tinted rear mirror..? I can certainly remember, 'back then', seeing loads of bands with questionable 'musicianship', but with a gimmick, or hype, or some sort of non-musical 'feature' that got them noticed. Were there good musicians too..? Certainly, but not at the top of the tree. Some names..? OK. Soft Machine. Top music; little impact. Matching Mole, idem. Duff music that got attention..? Crazy World Of Arthur Brown..? Status Quo..? Bay City Rollers..? Some that had both music and appeal..? Cream..? Fairport Convention..? Is it different today..? I doubt it, although I'm no longer 'following' today's trends, so...
