1.
Is this Prat Bass in Spain?...
He's said (above...) that it's coming from the States.
 2. Jack Casady. Any and all of it.
 3. Our singist has had, for the past decade or so, the habit of ending just about every one of our numbers with a rather laconic 'Thank you', whether or not there's any reaction from the attendance. Looking back at the videos, it looks suspiciously like taking the pee, although that's not his nature. I think it's more of a nervous tic, really.
 4. Ooo look..! A bee..!
 5. And..? And..? (sounds of fingers drumming, foot tapping, room being paced a-pace, nails being chewed, the wringing of hands ...) And..?
 6.
Get him to stick labels on with his name and address, then rough them up a bit, make them look old. Maybe also stencil his name across it? Just so it looks like his instrument that he's owned for some time.
It may work; it may become a prison sentence. Customs bods are not daft.
 7.
People travel with instruments all the time though, if it's seen as his personal property then there is no issue, if it's leaving the UK after then it shouldn't be subject to UK tax anyway so it's not a fiddle.
Depends on where the final destination is, and being able to prove it.
 8.
Awaiting an amusing 'gif' from Dad......
When duty calls...
 9.
... Would it be different if a citizen/someone who lives in the US was coming to visit England you think?
Not if the bass was to be left in the UK (ie: imported...). T'would be OK if the visitor was to take the bass back home with them, but US Customs may want to see the papers going back, too..! These 'ere gov'ments are no fools; they know how to get taxes paid all right..!
 10. Like all smuggling, it's a risk to be taken or not. How lucky is your buddy, in general..? Folks travelling out and back with stuff (not just instruments; cameras, expensive watches etc...) would be wise to have their original purchase papers with them, to show Customs that all taxes and duties have already been paid. If the final destination is not a, EU country, VAT would not be payable, but import duty of the final country would be. The documents required for 'sending on' in that way are rather complex, and probably beyond the scope of yourself or your friend. I'd have a real think about the whole deal if I were you. The odds against are stacking up. Just sayin'; hope this helps.
 11.
...That wont trigger customs will it?!...
Oh yes it will.
 12.
...Every piece of gear colours your sound in some way or another.
...which is why most folks just accept the expression for what it is: just a trite 'I don't actively dial a sound in'. Most of us know it's not hifi (and probably wouldn't like it if it was..!).
 13.
How do you know it's set flat?
Does it matter, as long as it sounds as required..?
 14.
didn't someone once find offence in that emoji on blues' behalf?...
15.
I can't imagine there's a single organisation that grew to the point of having a recognised flag that the planet wouldn't have been better off without their existence.
The International Red Cross, maybe..? Can't think of any more, though.
 16.
The OP flying the confederate flag is not as bad as it is being suggested then. As there's no intent at all?
Indeed, and no arrests made. Still, some folks could take offence, or simply disapprove and shun the show. That seems to have been the original issue, not the legality of displaying these flags.
 17. Erecting statues is just as much a 'tribal' thing to do, and no more 'civilised'. Times change, those worshipped sometimes (often..?) turn out to have feet of clay. Some civilisations don't hold with effigies of any kind; maybe that would solve the matter..?
 18. The Xlr looks to be riveted on; you'll need to carefully drill out the rivets. Probably best to replace the rivets with screws, using shakeproof washers, when putting in the new socket.
 19.
No, I'd go for abhorrent!
OK, mere semantics. Oof; you had me worried for a moment..!
 20.
People on BC seem to find humor in humping an invisible bear..
21.
Seriously?
? ? ? Surely you're not suggesting that they're fashionable..?
