[quote name='Wayne Firefly' timestamp='1493730034' post='3290195'] Cant upload pics, wont let me, uploads fail. [/quote] Maybe your 'Attachments' quota is all used up..? Try this... Go to your 'My Profile' (your pseudo, top right...). Select 'Edit my Profile' (black button a bit below...). Select 'Manage Attachments' (in the list on the left...). They are listed in date order. Navigate to oldest, select those to be deleted (tick boxes on the right...). Select 'Delete Selected' (grey button at bottom right of list...). Repeat, page by page, until all unwanted attachments are deleted. Using the BBCode link supplied by an external photo account such as Imgur or Flickr is a good idea, of course; even more so if using higher resolution photos. Your quota limit would never be reached using this method, and the photos are better presented. Just sayin'; that's what I do, and never need to worry about quotas. Hope this helps; meanwhile... Have a nice day Douglas

[quote name='jonnyenglish358' timestamp='1493468345' post='3288573']...but try not to hurt my feelings... [/quote] Now there's a challenge..! I'll try; I may not succeed. First, then, the good stuff... ... Now then, as for the piece, and admitting freely that I'm certainly not the target audience, I was rather underwhelmed by the 'U2' clone production, the rather predictable format and the several gimmick 'hooks' in there. Competent enough on all instruments, although the eternally chiming guitar grates quite quickly, but the 'big beat' on the bass drum leaves me cold; my feet rarely tap to that. The bass is solid enough, except in the (obligatory...) instrumental bridge, when it loses the sparse quality of providing impulsion to 'flub around' (a technical term...) unnecessarily. Well done on producing a single, though; that, in itself is an achievement not to be sneered at, and I appreciate the work that went into this. I shan't be buying (No..? What a surprise..!), but sincerely wish you (all...) all the best in this difficult and ungrateful field you've chosen. No hard feeling, I trust; I try to be honest, that's all. Good luck in your ventures, and thanks for sharing.

[quote name='laranjo' timestamp='1493163106' post='3286218'] Cant find my sale post , did i anything wrong?... [/quote] Yes, I'm afraid so. A common error from the Continent in using a decimal '.' when typing in the price; you must not use punctuation; just enter as a whole number. Your post has been deleted; post it again with the price, in £, but without the 'thousands' separator, please. Hope this helps.

New improv track - advice needed on recording issue

[quote name='AdamWoodBass' timestamp='1493115723' post='3285675']...bus out the reverb and isolate... [/quote] Although it's easy (and immediate...) to simply add an fx directly to a track, I often use a second track for the fx and send the instrument to it. Especially useful when wanting a common treatment for several tracks, of course, but has the added advantage of enabling isolation of the effect for solo listening, without the 'dry' track. Probably not how one would go about setting up a 'one-off' 'quick and dirty' trial impro, but can be useful. I have some set-ups of the sort saved as templates, so I find it no more fiddly to do than just selecting 'New Project'. Just sayin'. -

New improv track - advice needed on recording issue
Dad3353 replied to AdamWoodBass's topic in Recording
Proof, if ever I needed it, then, of the clothness of my ears, as I hear nothing untoward in there at all. Beautiful atmospheric playing, quite 'celtic' at times, with a hot finger-picking section, then back to calm reflection, and an unsettling 'seventh' final note. There is a gentle reverb in there, which I took to be the sound of a studio 'stone room', except that you're recording using DI..! In that case, I'd say that it's an excellent fx unit, tastefully contoured to produce a very natural and flattering effect. A splendid piece, showing up some of the qualities of a superb bass, and even more qualities of a sensitive bass player. Thanks for sharing; I'd change nothing there at all (but my ears are 'shot', so ignore the above... ). -
[quote name='MoonBassAlpha' timestamp='1493032934' post='3284936'] Are we going to be treated to your monthly review roundup? [/quote] I'm tempted, as every month, but have you seen how many (excellent...) entries there are..? 14..! How to do justice to 'em all..? No promises; I'll try, and see how far I get. Apologies if I really can't finish 'em all off, and it's your fault if I slip back down the wellness ladder. S'not easy (but it's so much fun..! ). Still, I have until the 20th April to do the job, eh..?

[quote name='blue' timestamp='1492965568' post='3284453'] Do headliners play pubs in the UK?... [/quote] Yes, in the sense of being at the 'head' of the posters and flyers. The term in Europe does not imply anything special in status more than that. Our band (The Daub'z...) have often been at the top of the bill, but we're hardly the Stones or Springsteen..!

I don't know what these streaming sites are like for classical music, but I can't see myself listening to Mahler or Schubert in that way. CD's, and DVD's are the way for me; many have the video, too, to enjoy..!
