This may be so, but that's not what I took from the posts at all. We interpret things differently, it would appear. -

It takes years to build a good reputation. It takes seconds to lose it.

Here is my contribution to the June 2023 Basschat Composition Challenge, illustrated with a picture chosen by Upside Downer. Wanted, to Buy: Adult Trampoline. Mine was very recently stolen; urgently required as I'm coming down very fast now. One-take guitar tracks using my newly-acquired s/h Blackstar ID:Core 10 for the first time. Guitar is my trusty black sparkle Xavière. Fruit shakers, and a 'Purdie' drum sample, adjusted for tempo. Treatment..? Nah, not really, just the usual Cockos EQ and NY Bus compression (and a little delay on the drums...). Thanks for listening, if you already have; if you're about to, enjoy.

Something like this..? A bit more detail would be best. Radius of curved corners..? Diameter of screw holes..? Colour required, and how many..? Urgent or not so much..? Douglas

May this be the composition voting thread

And the winner is ... @upside downer..! Here, then, is your Winner's Certificate (download and save as pdf file, then proudly print and frame...) ... BC_Chal_Cert_2023_05.pdf -
Here is my contribution to the May 2023 Basschat Composition Challenge, illustrated with a picture chosen by NickD. An exercise in Mind Control. Listening to this track whilst looking at the picture brings about a new state of consciousness; at the fourth listening session, her eye will wink suggestively. Guaranteed; I kid you not. A pair of tanpura tracks, a pair of tabla tracks and a pair of desert voice tracks, carefully crafted to create this concert. Cockos light Fx and NY Bus compression, that's all. Thanks for listening, if you already have; if you're about to, enjoy.

There are pedal steels with BIAB (Band In A Box...), which sound fine, in various genres. If you have a chord sequence and a tempo in mind, I could create a demo for you. Here's a pedal-steel track from a song in 'G', chosen at random ... untitled.mp3 ... and the pedal steel on its own ... Django1 - Soloist Demo #4 - Ballad_Render Pedal Steel.m4a

It might look 'a bit messy' to you, but it looks very much 'par for the course' to me. If that's the only 'issue', I'd quote the old saw 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'. There will be no advantage gained from re-wiring; I don't consider solder joints to be part of an instruments value, myself, but there's no reason to touch 'em, as far as I can see. Maybe a dash of contact cleaner for the pots, whilst it's open, but that's all. Move along now; nothing to see here...

Another school day; maybe I wasn't looking hard enough. I'll just keep my Camco, though; it's done half a century of sterling work so far, and will see me out.

Strangely enough, I'm all set for drums (what with being a drummer'n'all...). I can't recall having ever seen or heard of Fender making drums, but, then again, I can't recall much at all these daze, soooooo.

Something like this, in natural maple finish and no pickguard, perhaps..?

Not the JC (that's on my 'bucket list'...); I play a vintage Hofner Verithin, hollow-body bass. We don't play 'stupid' loud (pop-rock covers such as Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Noir Désir, Bowie...) and I have no feedback issues. When playing at home, I can easily provoke splendid '60s-'70s feedback by approaching the cab, as I like those 'West Coast' tones, but it's tame enough when out in public.

Paul McCartney's original Hofner, whereabouts?

Order a Micro-USB Data cable from a reputable source (a shop that sells Boss stuff..?); send it back if it doesn't perform as required. The important part is the specification 'Micro-USB Data cable', though, and should do the job.

Useless to me, I don't read Morse.
