You could make the f-hole opening in the shape of a large swift like on your headstocks that would look cool. I have an Alvarez mini travel bass which i think is 27" scale. It is fitted with black tapewound strings. Bottom E response is questionable but overall it's a very playable little instrument.

I have this head with matching 1x12 4ohm cab and it can cope pretty well with a funk band including horns. I still run a line through the PA but it has a lovely warm tone, perfect for anyone into their vintage Fender tone and is light, compact etc. My head came with a bespoke padded case and I got a cab cover from Roqsolid. I liked the Eden tone so much I also have the WTDI pedal, which is pretty much the same tone in a small box.

Should look killer having it back in black!

Found a 360 animation of Sting's 54' precision and grabbed some pics. On the back of the bass the finish is almost completely worn away. I wonder just how much maintenance an old bass like this really needs given he plays it constantly.
