  1. I also have a shorty incoming. I was thinking if Im lucky there might be a suitable guitar gigbag but will do it old-school by taking the measurements then going round some music stores.
  2. Just spotted this on ebay. Haven't checked for reviews regards suitability for busking but might make a nice home practice setup giving out 6 watts in stereo.
  3. Hope this doesn't knock the prices up. Im still trying to save for a compact gen 3 cab myself.
  4. I believe Scott uses these himself on tour and in the studio. Must say something as to the quality.
  5. Is anyone using or has knowledge of a portable bass amp that is powerful enough for busking? I tried a Pignose, not technically a bass amp, and it couldn't cope with the low frequencies. I've heard about the Roland Micro Cube but it didn't look to me like a busking amp, more just a portable low volume practice amp.
  6. Sooooooooo cool! Love this.
  7. Tapered strings are simply strings where the end of the string becomes a narrow winding rather than the actual gauge of the string all the way to the stop. Next time you visit a guitar store ask to see some.
  8. Does anyone have any insight into purchasing a headstock tuner? I've never used one so is there a particular model, are they are as accurate, etc.
  9. Just thought I would post these for posterity. A black MIJ 1993 Fender Jazz '62RI + tobacco burst CIJ 2010 Fender Precision '57RI.
  10. Been looking into acquiring some new basses recently, a short-scale and a micro bass. Regards the short-scale, Scott Whitley offers a lefty option for a small charge and Gold tone offer several microbass models in lefty at no extra charge so quite pleased should I choose to commit.
  11. Those pups are MASSIVE!
  12. I must say it looks pretty petite to my eyes http://youtu.be/sWYDp4S4oWo
  13. Thanks! I've contacted them to ask if they do a lefty model.
  14. Recently I've been taking an interest in the idea of a micro bass for portability and travel. As well as the Kala U bass I've been looking at Gold Tone. Does anyone know if they have a stockist in the UK? I like the look of their new electric model.
  15. Or a lefty like me interested in buying it as it is.
  16. Wish this were a lefty. Exactly what I'm looking for.
  17. A headless design it is then!
  18. The video for this track takes me back. Track is pretty forgettable.
  19. Would love to find a lefty short scale Warwick Thumb like this righty.
  20. Miss my ffretless Steinberger L2 for its portability now I'm getting more mature, and my beat-up 1968 Gibson EBO because it was just so cool!
  21. I was told that Macca got his Wal from Sound Control music store when it was based in the Saltmarket in Glasgow. The store is long gone and his Wal prob lives in a flightcase somewhere.
  22. Could be a cool-looking headless.
