  1. Looking forward to seeing the eye-candy shiny bits going on. Mega job as usual.
  2. Ha! Was expecting the story to end with a bang!
  3. Cool. Cass Lewis was the first player I ever saw playing a Warwick Thumb at TTD gig at Barrowlands, Glasgow.
  4. I think it was a Matkbass Tube 800 used to review the latest Barefaced Super Compact in one of the Bass mags recently and apparentlythey were a great match. Sadly both out of my budget.
  5. I used to own a lefty Thumb BO4 and found the neck would dive so be interesting to see if your body design tweaks will alleviate the issue whilst still keeping to a compact body shape. Another small body shape you could consider blending into the mix could be that of a more symmetrical SG but with contouring or is that just impractical?
  6. I mean...where is the wear and tear??? Has this bass ever been played much or just lived in a case? Quite unreal condition-wise.
  7. +1 to that!
  8. Perfect. If only it were a lefty :-(
  9. Is this the model with the jazz profile neck?
  10. What weight does the jazz come in at?
  11. Love the Epiphone conversion MrFingers and blablas work is awesome as usual. Well done people!
  12. Rehearsed with my funk band last night. We have a female singer who can't make all the rehearsals so was good to be able to move things along a bit. We mostly write our own tunes but I introduced a cover, Come On, Come Over from the Jaco Pastorius album last time we got together and was good to hear the vocal part in the mix. Still to get the horn players up to speed on that one too but our take on that tune is sounding very interesting indeed.
  13. Great stuff. I wonder if Harley Benton are following this :-)
  14. Very interesting. Look forward to some pics showing its' current state.
  15. Some great replies. Thanks guys.
  16. I'm a fan of the 12" cab, owning an Eden EX112. Been thinking of upgrading to a Barefaced 12" but after looking at all the blurb on the website, I'm none the wiser which is the better cab. Any users want to give me some insider views on their choosing of the Midget over Compact and vise-versa?
  17. Lovely. I betting Guy Pratt would like this as a standby for his matching real J.
  18. Surprised this is still here. I would def go down the restoring neck back to fretted route.
  19. Could watch hours of this kind of thing on the workings of early multi-track and microphone technology. Fascinating.
  20. Some more brilliant responses. Thanks guys!
  21. Killer bass. I've been in touch with Alan about a possible lefty. Love the look of this one. Were we talking crazy money here?
  22. Would love one of these but no lefty available in the SB14 model.
  23. Strangely the only bass I ever had problems with breaking strings was my Steinberger L2 fretless. I tried both Rotosound and LaBella. Got on better with the Rotosounds.
